Prison Break

Cherry walked through the corridors to Ace and Jinbe's cell, occasionally flicking some of Magellan's poison as the prisoners who were dumb enough to cat call her.

Just as she arrived, Inuzuma finished picking the lock on Ace's cell and walked across the hall to Crocodile's cell with Ivankov in tow. Luffy followed behind helping Ace to get reacquainted with standing up and walking.

"Stop trying to help me, Luffy! I'm not a baby, I can stand on my own!" Despite the harsh tone of his rebuke, Ace's face revealed that he was just embarrassed at having been saved by his younger brother, as well as his happiness.

Jinbe came lumbering out afterward. He didn't have any trouble as he was a particular sturdy individual, even after all the beatings he's taken since they locked him up down here.

"Croco-boy! It's good to see you again. NOT!" Ivankov mocked.

"What do you want?" Crocodile asked with a scowl.

"You're going to help us bust out of here. Unless you want me to tell your secret to the whole world? We can get out just fine without you, so don't waste my time and decide." Ivankov gave his ultimatum.

Crocodile's face distorted into several interesting expressions before finally coming to rest on his usually disdain for everyone around him.

"Fine." Crocodile replied curtly.

Cherry approached them at this point. "Magellan is out of commission."

"Oh, I'm surprised you finished so quickly, Cherry- YOU'RE COVERED IN POISON?!" Ivankov shouted.

"Don't make a big deal about it. Magellan will have to try harder than that to poison me to death." Cherry said, then immediately collapsed face first into the floor.

"SOMEBODY CALL A DOCTOR, SHE'S DYING!" Ivankov panicked. The others also had looks of concern, except for Crocodile and Luffy. The former was sneering with schadenfreude, while the latter was just looking at Cherry with a blank look.

"Cherry, I thought we were in a hurry. Why are you joking around?" Luffy asked.

"What are you saying?! She's been poisoned by Magellan, she doesn't have long to live, boy!" Ivankov exclaimed. He didn't have the time to give her his hormone treatment for it, that would take days.

"You used to be so easy to fool, Luffy. It saddens me greatly!" Cherry said dramatically as she stood up.

"Hmph, there's no way I'd fall for the playing dead trick 17 times!" Luffy spoke with a strange sense of pride. The others looked at him and they all thought 'You fell for it 16 times?'

Luffy had almost fallen for it this time as well, in all honesty. However, then he remembered that Cherry could easily cure poisoning with here devil fruit from the time she cured the poisoning of the villagers back on the flying islands of Merveille.

"Shihahaha! You're awfully relaxed for people breaking out of Impel Down!" A familiar laugh and voice came from one of the cells.

Looking inside they found the Golden Lion, Shiki. He had sea stone shackles around his neck, waist, and two on each arm.

"It brings back memories, you know. When I broke out of here twenty years ago, I had to cut off my own legs to get out of the sea stone shackles." Shiki said, then raised his arms and jangles the shackles on his arms. "But I can't exactly cut off both my arms, my lower torso and my head can I? Shihahaha!"

"I can help you with that if you want? Cutting you up into little pieces I mean." Cherry mocked.

"I think I'll pass, thank you." Shiki said. He closed his eyes and struck a dignified pose. "Don't ask me to help you either, I won't do it even if you beg me!"

When he didn't hear a response, he peeked out of his left eye and saw that nobody was there.

Cherry and co re-entered the tunnel and Cherry closed up the tunnel behind them so it couldn't be used by the guards to trace back to Newkama Land. Although they were leaving, they couldn't know if they'd ever be back someday, so it was best to leave it there for them.

As they made their way up to the highest secret entrance to Newkama Land, the Marine Vice Admirals were getting impatient.

"Where is Magellan, he was supposed to be bringing Fire Fist Ace to us!" Said Vice Admiral Onigumo, clearly irritated.

"I'm sorry sir, there seems to be a, um... a 'commotion' on the first few levels. The Chief Warden is probably giving out directions before going to get Ace." One of the prison guards made an excuse.

He didn't know much about what was going on below. Just that a prison riot had started out of nowhere, but he couldn't just admit that as it would make the guards and the Chief Warden look bad.

Onigumo squinted his eyes at the quibbling idiot before him. He would NOT be late in performing his duty of delivering Ace to Marineford. It was bad enough that he had been brought low by that wretched Cheap Shot Cherry during the Buster Call, completely failing to kill any of the criminals at Enies Lobby.

Moreover, he was not the type to make excuses when he failed, even if it was due to someone else's incompetence.

"I'm going in." Vice Admiral Onigumo insisted, walking forward without waiting for a reply.

"I'm afrai I can't let you do that Vice Admir-" One of the guards started to say and stand in his way.

*Bang*

Vice Admiral Onigumo shot the guard where he stood, shocking the other prison guards to the core.

"You do not have the authority to tell me what I can or cannot do. MEN, if they try to resist us any further, they are to be treated as traitors and executed summarily!" He shouted behind him.

"""Yes sir!""" His men responded instantly, knowing that he really meant what he said and that any resistant to his orders would only earn them the same fate.

He marched inside with his men followed in an orderly fashion behind him. The other guards made no attempted to block his path this time.

The first thing Onigumo heard was the faint sounds of distant battle. He immediately scowled. "A commotion is it? Disgraceful."

He and his men followed the sounds down to the first level and it was exactly what he feared that he would find. A horde of pirates and other criminals pushing back the prison guards.

"Keep pushing! We're almost there, almost to FREEDOM!" A clown shouted from the back, which seemed to spur them on to fight that much harder.

Vice Admiral Onigumo transformed, forming three new sets of spider-like arms from his back. He drew out eight swords altogether and intended to deal with the pirates with extreme prejudice.

As he launched himself forward, however, he was met in the air by the woman he hated more than anyone in the world. She forced him back with a powerful thrust of her spear.

"Harpin D. Cherry!" He growled with rage.

"Oh hey, it's you! Did you want me to give you my special service again?" Cherry smirked.

Onigumo resisted the instinct to clench his legs together and wasted no words with the wicked woman. He launched into a flurry of attacks with his many blades.

Cherry was strangely able to fend off the attack with just her spear and the occasional kick. The battle looked quite fierce, but at this point neither of them were being pushed back.

"You know, I've been thinking about this since the last time we met. Why do you grow six new arms? If you're supposed to be a spider you should only have eight limbs, but right now you have ten! Eight arms and two legs!" Cherry chattered away like she wasn't being attacked by someone who had every intention of killing her.

Onigumo was desperately trying to keep his anger in check. He knew how dangerous losing your cool in battle was. She wasn't making it very easy to do that.

"Do you know why they nicknamed me 'Cheapshot', Mr. Vice Admiral, sir?" Cherry asked. He instantly scanned her for any dirty tricks.

"Hehehe, a dirty trick doesn't have come from my own hand to be dirty you know? Buggy!" Cherry shouted.

"SPECIAL MUGGY BALL!!!" Buggy shouted from only a few meters behind the Vice Admiral with his foot raised in his direction.

A tiny red ball was shot out of a hidden compartment inside his foot and landed right on Onigumo's back.

*KABOOM!!!*

A devastating explosion, far greater than one would expect from such a tiny projectile!

Cherry didn't expect it to finish off the Vice Admiral, though. So she ruthlessly attacked the very instant after the explosion occurred, piercing into the Vice Admiral's body.

"RAAAGH!" Onigumo pressed forward, burying the spear deeper into his torso in an attempt to end Cherry's life as she now possessed no weapon to block with. However, his vision was blocked by the dust kicked up in the explosion and his attacks met nothing but air.

"Wow! I only released the spear just in case, but I didn't expect you had the guts to actually do it! You have my respect, sir! As such I shall finish you off in the honorable manner I know how!" Cherry exclaimed.

*Ding!*

The sound of a kick hitting a metal plate was heard even over the cacophony of the battle, drawing everyone's attention.

Onigumo collapsed to the ground, legs squeezed together. Pirate, prison guard, and marine alike couldn't help but wince and bring their own thighs together in subconscious fear.

"HEE HAW! I like the way you fight, girly!" Ivankov praised as he arrived on scene with the others and the rest of the prisoners they had broken out on the lower levels.
