LEONARDO'S PAST

The sun had just come out of its bed, the faint sound of birds chirping from the top of the tree.

The sun shone through the gaps in the curtains, which swayed in the wind.

The room with very spacious size and looks very luxurious with a variety of well-arranged furniture and large paintings on the walls beautifully displayed adding to how classy the taste of the owner of the room is.

The cell phone that was above the small cupboard, next to the king-size bed vibrated, indicating that there was an incoming call.

Like it or not, the owner of the cellphone must lift his cellphone. Even though his eyes were still tightly closed, his hands were still searching for the whereabouts of the phone.

"Hello."

"Good morning, sir. This is Monika," came a woman's voice from across the phone.

"What's wrong Monika? It's just annoying," he grumbled in a hoarse voice, typical of waking up with his eyes still tightly closed.

"I just want to remind you. There will be an important meeting at 10:00 a.m," she answered.

Without answering, the man just hung up the phone. After a few minutes of silence, he finally got up and went straight to the bathroom. Not long after, the sound of running water came from the bathroom.

Still, in the same house but a different room, it looks like the waiters are busy cooking.

The spacious kitchen room coupled with modern cooking utensils makes it easy for cooks to process dishes.

"Hurry up!" ordered an old man who asked all the cooks to finish his cooking. "Master Leo will be down for breakfast soon. "And you!!" he pointed at one of the waiters. "Quickly set the table!"

Without being ordered twice, the waiter went straight to the dining room and did as he was told.

Not long after, from far away came the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Young master, breakfast is ready," said the waiting-maid standing at the bottom of the stairs.

"Where's Mr. Bowo?" he asked.

"I'm here, sir," answered Bowo, who had just come from the kitchen.

"I didn't have breakfast, I have a meeting at the office this morning."

"But sir, your favorite dishes are all available on the dining table. You have to have breakfast, especially when there is a meeting," Bowo asked to reassure his master.

Leo looked at his servant and smiled. "Okay! After Mama and Papa are gone, only you care about me. Prepare breakfast Bowo!"

Leo stepped into the dining room followed by the waiters who were ready to serve him.

Elsewhere, in a luxurious apartment, a pair of people of the opposite sex are sleeping.

From their faces, it was clear that they were exhausted as if they had spent a lot of energy last night.

The vibration of a thin object on the nightstand did not disturb their sleep. But the phone kept vibrating non-stop, forcing the owner to pick up the phone.

"Hello," said the woman who had just woken up in a hoarse voice.

"Hi, darling."

Suddenly, even though she was still very sleepy, hearing the voice on the other end of the phone made him fully conscious. The woman immediately looked at the cellphone screen that brought up Leonardo's name.

"Hello, honey. Are you still there? Why are you silent?!" Leo asked.

"Uh yes, yes, dear," the woman stammered.

"What about you? Are you all right?" Leo asked in a worried voice.

"I'm fine, don't worry honey. I just woke up," she replied.

"You just got up?" Leo asked.

"Yes Leo, last night I slept late watching a movie," she replied, holding back a laugh because the man next to him woke up and kept bothering her.

"Where are you Leo?" she asked to make sure Leo was somewhere far away.

"Still at home! Coming to the office soon, there's an important meeting this morning. Do you have any plans to go out today, Evelyn?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm going to the salon," Evelyn replied.

"Okay, just use the credit card I gave you. Use it however you want."

"Thanks, Leo," Evelyn replied.

"Evelyn, I'm hanging up. I'm on my way to work. Take good care of yourself."

With relief, the woman answered. "Okay, be careful honey."

"Ok, where's the good morning kiss?" Leo asked from the other end of the line.

Without wasting any time, Evelyn immediately gave Leo a good morning kiss over the phone.

After finishing giving a farewell kiss, the woman finally could breathe a sigh of relief because the call was disconnected.

"You're naughty, Nathan. You almost got caught. You can't keep your hands still," Evelyn mumbled as soon as she finished putting away the phone.

Nathan just smiled seeing Evelyn angry. Instead of being silent, he tickled Evelyn more and more.

"That's it, Nathan, that's it." Evelyn laughed out loud holding the hand that was ready to tickle her waist again.

Crunchy laughter incessantly escaped Evelyn's lips. They joked for a long time until finally both of the opposite sex were exhausted.

"Nathan," Evelyn called.

"Hm," Nathan simply mumbled.

"What if I get pregnant?" Evelyn asked.

"Don't you go to the doctor regularly?" Nathan asked back.

"Yeah, but I'm still scared."

"If you're pregnant, wouldn't that be great? Leo loves you very much," Nathan said.

"Nathan, Leo never touched me."

"Is that true?" asked Nathan in surprise.

"If I'm pregnant, it's your child," Evelyn said.

"Is Leo not attracted to you so he never touches you? Or is Leo just not normal?"

"I don't know but Leo once said he respects me as a woman so he won't touch me until he gets married," Evelyn replied.

"Then don't get pregnant, our lives are in danger if Leo finds out you betrayed him."

Evelyn and Nathan were silent for a long time with thoughts wandering. Their lives are on the line if Leo finds out they're having an affair.

His tall, sturdy body, and sharp eyes, are supported by an IQ that is above average. Of course, at a young age, Leo succeeded in leading a large company inherited from his parents.

Who else if not Leonardo Albert Winston, a young CEO who is much coveted by women?

"Morning sir," said one of his employees as he got out of the car.

Just a glance at the person who greeted her, Leo immediately rushed into the building.

Every employee who passed him smiled so friendly, but those who were greeted only glanced at him without answering.

The elevator that was only used by Leo slowly opened.

Without waiting long, Leo got into the elevator that would take him straight to the highest floor in the building.

"Good morning sir," greeted the beautiful woman with seductive red lipstick as soon as she saw Leo out of the elevator.

"Morning," he replied as he continued to walk into his room followed by the secretary.

"Have you prepared everything for the meeting later?" he asked then sat down in his oversized chair.

"Yes sir, all the files have been prepared."

"Good job," Leo said. "I don't like people who are careless."

"You can count on me," replied Monika with a seductive smile.

But the one being teased didn't look the least bit in his direction.

"Monika, please make some coffee," Leo asked.

"Okay, sir."

"Thank you," Leo replied dryly.

Monika then went outside to make the coffee Leo asked for.

Not long after, Monika came back with a cup of coffee.

"Coffee sir." Monika put it on the table. Leo was just silent, busy with the document he was reading.

Seeing her boss like that, Monika quietly left the room. There was a bit of disappointment in his heart, Leo who she had been eyeing for a long time had never seen him at all.

"Mr. Leo is very difficult for me to conquer, the woman he loves is really lucky," Monika said.
