First Mission

The guards immediately approached the three of them when they reached the entrance. However Rex casually ignored them, it seemed the guards let them in as well.

Inside the castle was quite crowded, a lot of sword knights were there. Their attention was instantly drawn to the three of them who had just entered. Almost all of their gazes were the same as those of the people out there. Calvin was surprised by Rex and Livy, he seemed used to that look, for Calvin it was very uncomfortable.

"Hey hey hey, look who's coming," one of them said.

A person with a large body blocked the steps of the three of them, his gaze seemed to be very disdainful of them. Rex who was walking in the front stopped his steps. The atmosphere of the room within the room actually became a little quiet when that person confronted Rex.

"Shouldn't a loser guild like you guys already disband? You guys without the Commander are nothing."

Rex's gaze was intense on that person. He was Dante, a member of the Praying Mantis guild, from the way he spoke it was obvious that he was an arrogant person. Dante saw the sword that was in the sword by Livy, it was the sword that the Blue Whale was fighting for.

"Low people like you don't deserve to hold that sword, I thought you all had disappeared but it turns out that there are still two losers like you," said Dante with a sarcastic smile.

Calvin, who heard Dante's words, was a little annoyed, he remembered that in his class something like this had often happened. Calvin walked past Dante, of course it made Dante angry for ignoring him. Dante immediately pointed his sword at Calvin and started screaming.

"Who are you!! How dare you walk past me like that!"

Calvin's steps stopped when he saw the sword that was already near his neck, he just sighed as he looked down. Calvin moved his hand slowly, saw Calvin who was moving everyone who was with Dante prepared and pulled out their swords at the same time.

"Where's the toilet next? I feel like I need to poop," Calvin said while rubbing his stomach.

"Duttt!"

Clavin's fart sounded loud, it made those around him reflexively move away from Calvin, while Calvin himself just smiled while scratching his head.

"Damn you!! Are you mocking me?!" Dante shouted louder.

"No, I really want to go to the toilet. Ahh looks like over there," said Calvin as he walked away.

This of course made Dante even more angry, he ran after Calvin and immediately slashed his sword at Calvin from behind. But before Dante's sword hit Calvin someone shouted.

"Stop! If you want to fight do it outside!"

Dante stopped moving and drew his sword back and put it in his scabbard. His face looked dissatisfied, he immediately ignored his gaze while Calvin continued to walk to the toilet.

Dante walked past Rex and Livy. "Don't expect you to get away!"

Rex and Livy looked calm then ignored Dante's words, they both walked towards one of the officers who were there. Everyone in the room seemed to ignore the two of them. The officer with a lazy face greeted the two of them.

"So what do you want?" asked the officer.

"I want to make sure that the Black Wolf guild still exists and is still active. That way we can still accept any mission from the kingdom," said Rex.

"With just two people what missions can you do? Capturing the noble's lost pet or helping with the noble's garden work?" asked the officer.

"No, we can still carry out missions as usual as Black Wolves."

"Alright then, I'll report this to the royal data."

"Thanks, then can we take on our next mission?" Rex asked.

"Black Wolf huh.." said the officer while opening the mission note.

Guilds are royal auxiliaries that carry out various missions. The missions given depend on the achievements obtained from the guild itself, the better the achievements, the bigger the missions received and of course will get a bigger payout too. Everyone can register their guild by undergoing various tests, if they pass the guild name will be registered in the kingdom. The first mission they got was, of course, the simplest mission, all gradual to a high level.

"I'm not too sure about you guys, but according to your ranking there are missions that have not been completed until now. You can accept or reject it," the officer said when he found the mission notes.

"What's that?"

"There is a blue-scaled dragon residing in the eastern forest, many guilds have come there but nothing has worked. The dragon is quite dangerous and has the potential to destroy the city, therefore this is an order from the job to kill the dragon, the pay will be quite high. Just bring those 10 blue dragon scales as proof that you've killed him. Remember you will never get those scales if you don't kill them. How?"

"Of course we will take this mission," said Rex firmly.

"Alright, I don't expect much from you guys."

"No problem."

After accepting the mission and confirming that the Black Wolf guild still existed they prepared to leave the place. Suddenly Calvin was back and walked over to the two of them. He looks like he's done with his tummy. Rex gave Calvin a code to get out of there, Calvin just followed Rex and Livy's footsteps without asking anything.

As they were walking Calvin's stomach suddenly rumbled loud enough to reach Rex and Livy's ears.

"Does your stomach always make that loud noise?" Rex asked, looking at Calvin.

"Looks like we really need to eat," Livy said.

"I'm an ordinary person who needs to eat, it's only natural that I'm hungry now," Calvin answered innocently. "Rex, can you carry me? My body feels weak since the first trip earlier."

"Won't. We're just a short walk from the base to the portal," Rex argued quickly.

"What are your bodies made of? That's a very long distance. Isn't there any means of transportation here or something?"

"There were only horses to use, but now we don't have any."

"Irritating."

"Did you say something?"

"Not."

Livy just let out a short breath looking at the two of them, but nevertheless the two of them quickly became friends. They just met last night and almost killed each other.
