yun palace.
...
In the cold yet twinkling starry night. The moon seemed especially tranquil and solemn today yet still carried the hint of some unusual longing. Soothing breezes bringing out the feeling of comfort. The vast sky was extremely distant yet still warming to one's heart.
In the royal palace on country R, all that followed was brutal bloodshed, heart-clenching human shrieks , and clashing of swords.
The exquisite marbel palace created a setting of horror within the witnesses. Over hundreds of human corpses laden messily like that of trash. A huge crowd messily passing by and trampling over those corpses.
However all this held not much of a care to those present there. The people fighting on this field were batting thier lives with every moment passing by. One moment of distraction could cause their lives, their respective families grieve and their country losing their freedom to the opposing country.
Ironically, despite strongly disagreeing the idea of this bloodshed ,they still fought.
The war was between the A country and The Pheonix country.
A country had sneakily ambushed the young crown Princess in her visit to marriage alliance held in the royal family today.
This was by far the first time, the crown Princess has shown herself to the outside world. The marriage was between her best friend whom she had known since the childhood and a neighbouring country .
The Pheonix country had lost their ruler, his highness the king three years ago. The matter was both despairing and politically unstable for the country.
Due to the urgency of the matter and Jiang Xueyue being the most capable out of all her siblings, she was to handle the empire till her younger brother the crown prince came to age to be bestowed with the title and responsibility.
Initially the ministers and the country men of the nation were all still doubtful of her. Jiang Xueyue was after all 19 that year when she took over the country.
This Princess was known to be mysterious and heavenly beautiful. That was all they knew of the princess whom no one has ever seen.
She was kept away from the eyes of others since her birthday. Rumours were that the princess was born with some fatal disease and that explained her absence all these years.
However, his highness the king strongly claimed that if anything were to happen to the country or to himself, the country should be handed in the care of his first daughter the crown Princess.
True enough, these past three years the country has only been prospering to great lengths, that could even compete to the late king's rule. The welfare on the country men,law and order, the nation's relationship with other nations, and trade and commerce were all meticulously taken care of by the crown Princess herself.
The Crown Princess,Jiang Xueyue ,of the Pheonix country stood in the forefront on the battle.
The girls petite yet proportional figure swaying speedily with agile and Swift movements. The white silk gown leaving the faint white after image with her every attack. The girls slightly messy loose dark blue hair dancing with the breeze, felt like sweeping through the tender hearts of the onlookers, making them awe- struck. Alike of that gentle river flowing freely yet carrying the insurmountable beauty of the nature.
The young lady was 21 years old this year and was the most beautiful woman in the Pheonix country's existence so far. Jiang Xueyue fought continuously without holding back, exerting her energy to her fullest yet still unwilling to break down despite her face being frighteningly pale and her sick countenance.
She had to keep the situation favourable to their sides before the rescue army arrived . Otherwise all of the hard work and dedication of her father would be in vain. The motherland she and the civilians held so dear would be exploited to the state of misery.
The lands their lives depended on would be a mere piece of land, thier hard works won't be able to prosper thier motherland anymore, the soldiers would be fighting for the country they had no love for, thier mothers, sisters, daughters would be sold and auctioned off like mere objects.
They fought and bled, lost hundreds of their dear brothers and families on the battlefield. The echoes of cries traveled through miles carring the prove of yet another war of humankind.
Scars to the motherland, sufferings and pains of the children of mother earth and cruelty of humankind for gain and loss. After what seemed after the time of two incense, the rescue army arrived with over a ten thousand in numbers. The victory was decided. Their country and her father's dream was safe.
Jiang Xueyue slowly but gracefully walked to a distant far from the battlefield. She faced the battlefield, where those humans seemed tiny as ants crawling. The huge mass of people killing and slashing brutally whoever came their way.
Jiang Xueyue stared in daze for a long period of time, however the time seemed to have painfully slowed down as to mourn over the lose of love, nature and humankind.
All the energy seemed to have seeped out of her body when she fell on her knees. However it was unknown if the crystal droplets falling from her ocean blue eyes were from the pain caused my her external injuries or internal.
No sound came out from her mouth yet the tears flowed out like having been restraint for years. Truly, she never cried. She couldn't bring herself to cry. The country's enemies, the ministers eyeing for the position and the absence of her beloved one's made her unable to cry.
A self-deprecating sneer left her lips. The looks of envy, jealousy, hatred, fawning, lust , vengeance were all clear in her mind.
They were envy of her for being born as the crown Princess. Some seemed jealous of her beauty. Many had hatred towards her for destroying hundreds of innocent families. Some wanted connection and benefits from her through their fawning behaviours. The look of lust in the men's eyes as if she was but a tool for them to play with. Few had vengeance for her not giving into their wishes.
With great power comes great responsibility.
She never wanted to rule a country neither did she want the power. Her country men dieing infront of her, that was not what she ever wanted to achieve. What success and what blessings.
Haha...
What kind was success it was when she was never happy, when she couldn't even protect her family and people. What blessings when she could not even choose her paths and decisions.
Her family was long death.she was no Princess but just a replacement in order to keep the reputation of the royal family. The real princess was long dead and she was the orphan adopted to keep the cheap deceits of the royal family under cover.
She was clearly just a girl yet never actually had the moment to live as such. They said she had heavenly blessings given her ability as a mage. However when did they ever notice the sufferings and sacrifices she made. All her cries and light of hopes seemed to be caged by the dazzling walls of the royal palace. They called it privilege and she called it poison.
In order to acquire her talent and ability, her family was killed yet no one seemed to notice.
As the time passed ,those happy childhood moments seemed to have blurred as if they never existed.
she sat on her knees for a long time. The existence of the princess was a beautiful but deceitful glitter. As the breathing turned slower ,the life faded gently out of the young girls body.
"Yue'er fulfilled her promise ,father"
"Let us reunite now...."
"Farewell"
A gentle smile tucked at her lips as she quietly whispered. The light diminished from her blank eyes she finally bid farewell to the world.
