When Luna Calls...

There will be no hunting or running tonight. Compulsory curfew 7pm. This might continue for the next few days. Enjoy the gaze of Luna in the confines of your home till the threat has been dealt with. If ANYONE fails to obey…the rest has been left to your imagination. 


No…no…no. This cannot be happening. Why now? I cannot shift at home, not with Shelly around. I smelt him before I saw him. 


“Andy?” how does he move so silently? “I’m sorry, Alpha. What can I help you with?” He just stared 


“Alpha?” I called out again baring my neck at him. He glanced down at my bared neck and sniffed. 


“We're not in the middle age. No need to bare your neck or call me Alpha” he drawled out in that quiet voice of his 


“It’s not about the age, Alpha. It’s…” 


The hot flash of anger had me straightening up and glaring. I was on the edge. I was growling quietly again. 


Have you ever been on fire? You are in pain and then someone dumps a bucket of cold water on you. For a second all you feel is this empty cold relieve. That’s exactly how it felt when Andy spoke. 


It’s been year’s since he last called me that. How could he say it with such ease, as though we’ve been talking. As though everything was fine when we haven’t even been in the same room together for years. 


“Yo…u…” I sputtered with anger or maybe shock “what do you want?” 


“What's that supposed to mean? Are you going around telling everyone to stay indoors? I got the message and…” 


“You're not everyone and I know you” he cut in staring at me intently 


I knew I was blushing and it made me angry “you piece of…” 


“You are still my Beta and a member of the family. You will obey.” He cut in coldly and turned towards the door. I clenched my fist and fought the urge to bare my throat in submission. 


“Andy?” I called out as he reached for the door “ my wolf is too close to the surface” 


“you'll have to control it. You are not weak and you can shift at your place.” He answered without turning back “ oh and watch your human” he walked out. Of course he knew about Shelly. 


I glanced down and winced as I retracted my claws from my palm. Control indeed.
