"Okay just tell me, I'm not getting younger here??!" I stated, annoyed at the silence.
We were currently sitting in the gaming room, can you believe Theo is a game addict?
Well, I didn't.
"Well?" I asked, encouraging them to speak up.
"Okay, so you remember the first day when I and Patricia had an encounter?" Jane asks
The day bimbo slapped her, how can I forget?
"Yeah...go on!" I said.
"Well it was a test of some sort, but she took it a tad bit over the top, she's a human, a bully, and...."
"Wait, rewind, she's a human? what does that mean?"
"She's flesh and blood with no extras? right, Theo?" Jane answers, looking at a closed-off Theo.
When did these first-name bases happen?
Theo seems off to adventure land as he stares out into space, doesn't even blink, or moves just like his annoying guards.
"Theo?"
No response.
"Theo!!!" I yelled, a few inches from his face, his eyes turns a shocking glowing yellow, making me gasp and take steps backward until my back hits the wall.
"What the fuck are you?" I blurted.
"Theo you're scaring her," Jane says putting a hand on his arm, while his body starts vibrating.
"Theo calms down you're gonna shift," Jane says panicked.
Shift?
Sliding my back down the cold wall, I try to control my breathing, my lungs trying hard to stop working.
Every breath I forced in, was like a thousand hot iron needles down my throat.
I couldn't even focus on the shit that was happening in front of me as my vision gets blurred, my body pins and needles as I go into another attack.
My eardrums close, making the ringing in my head louder.
I tried lifting my hands to signal for help, but my body felt pinned down by an invisible force.
I couldn't fight it anymore I just wanted to close my eyes and let the darkness take me.
Someone opens my mouth forcing some type of cold thing down my throat, I wanted to gag, but my body wasn't responding to any orders.
"Where's the oxygen mask?" Someone yells, I couldn't place or recognize the voice, something cold touched my face as a slight breeze enters my mouth.
"Breathe Jessica."
Trying to pull air into my body, my lungs fought against every attempt and refuses any air that I tried to force in.
Every time I tried for air to enter I choked, my vision black only a few white dots dancing around.
"Fucking breathe Jessica!"
I wanted to yell at this person for being so annoying, I wanted to tell him that I can't but like before nothing works.
One breath, choke.
Two, choke.
Three, choke.
That was it my body gave in making me black out. A Darkened tunnel pulled me further and further away as the pleading voices fades to muffled sounds only until nothing could be heard or seen.
Beep, Beep, Beep
The beeping noises get louder as I regain consciousness, trying with all my strength to open my eyes, but it was like everything was too heavy for me to handle.
Beep beep beep beep
The noises began speeding up the more I fight my own body to listen to my commands, my heart racing as I felt captured and imprisoned in my own body.
Why the hell isn't anything working, black covered every corner of my vision, making me panic more and more.
"She's awake." Someone whispers, who I wanted to smack for making such a statement, like are you fucking dumb my body isn't working.
"She's fighting control." Someone else says.
Fighting control over my own fucking stupid body yeah that's right.
"What if she wins and rejects the change?" A low voice whispered sounding almost familiar.
"She won't be able to."
What are they talking about, rejection? Am I hearing things?
Fighting over and over again as my body just ignores my pleas, my willpower running low from every failed attempt.
A pain shoots through my whole body, beginning at my head and spreading down every bone, I felt like someone threw me in a fire, letting me burn to bits and pieces.
I was mentally screaming, crying clawing at my prison to let the pain stop, as it spreads deeper and deeper.
My heart hammered against my chest as if it were forced to beat at an irregular pace.
My veins felt forced to close, and as the blood was forced through, every part of my body felt like knives cutting through my flesh and bones.
My prison, my own body was giving me the death that I always feared, the pain, the prison, the not having control, the helplessness, the blackness-
"It's almost over." Someone whispers in my ear.
Do they know what I'm feeling?
That isn't possible.
My heart gives one round of out-of-control beating, then it stops, and regains a slow pace.
The fire, the pain, disappears as everything returns to normal.
Forcing my eyes open for one last time, it felt different, numb in a way.
Opening my eyes for what felt like a new thing, a baby crawling for the first time, my eyes open inch by inch.
My vision stays blurry for a while, blinking a few times, and every detail enters my vision.
Theo's eyes are the first ones that pull my attention, his eyes a blue I've never seen before, a shocking blue, every dot, every detail, was visible, a scar under his eye, freckles.
How did I never see this before?
"Jessica?" Theo asks, pulling me out of all my questions.
"What happened?" I asked, I was so calm it freaked me out.
"You changed." That was all he said.
Changed?
"And may I add you look breathtaking! if you were playing on my team I would date you!" Jane says winking and squeezing my hand.
"What are you two talking about? and who are all these people?" I asked, the whole room full of different faces as all of them looked excited and scared at the same time.
