Disappearance

Los Angeles, California

Sun rose in the horizon while Reynolds place was too quiet but the silence wasn't too eerie in sense of serenity of the looks of awaken Vladimir as well as the sleeping wife of his. He looked in some kind of tension but he wasn't so sure of.

Vladimir knew very well, what happened last night was not mean to happen. He was not sure how things were adding up to his already filled plate. Being in this situation was not his wish. He was a man of his own.

He had a lot of situations in hand. Moreover, he never expected to be "blessed" with a human. Exact to be, this human wife he got, going to be a trouble he needed to handle too. 'Trouble', why he meant, from what he had witnessed last night.

He looked down at the beauty in his arms who was sleeping on his chest holding him in almost tight grip. He didn't know why he couldn't let her go and leave.

'As if it's an easy thing left to do now,' his subconscious mocked.

Well, what he would do then as the deed was done way before. His eyes caught the shining tattoo of her neck which was now fully adorned in his name which was visible with his initials.

The tattoo with rose in the middle with a unique design of pinkish blue and silver was filled with beautiful blood red traces, drawn in magical lines with a golden little crown that had been wrapped in the name initials 'V.K'.

Importantly, this time it's much more visible than before. It was vibrant in bright colours. It gave him a unknowing feeling of pride. He gazed her lazily with his shining silver blue eyes. It was rare side to see his eyes twinkling like stars.

Anina was unaware of the prideful gaze, she was bestowed upon. Anina was contented as she was free from that grave pain, she felt first time in life. She thought, her heart was going to explode as her body was twisting in an unbearable pain.

This situation was nothing knew for a mate of Vampire but hers was too early. Vladimir himself didn't understand the situation well. These things were knew to him too and Anina's situation was totally different than normal ones.

Vladimir was never a patient man. Yes, waiting for a beloved wasn't his idea or choice and it's their fate and destiny to live at that. They were meant to survive countless years on earth. They sure had secrets but they were not those creepy vampires, we got to see in movies or portrayed in fictional books. They were more simple as that.

They were the dark side of human with the ability to live on this earth for years and years. They had those sharp fangs and dark mystical abilities. These were the unknown things for humans.

That didn't mean they stopped interacting with humans. No, they were living, laughing, eating, dancing, singing, doing business with humans as humans. They were living among the humans hiding their mystical self.

They were knowingly unknown to the human world. They were a forever mystery. That's the cause Vladimir held the power in many ways. He was something still unknown and a puzzled mystery.

For the King, the toughest intriguing mystery was his human wife. Vladimir looked out of the window as he sensed the presence of his bodyguards. He closed his eyes with a sigh and muttered through his tight jaw in whisper.

At the same time, Anina opened her eyes. She had the look of bliss in her eyes. She stared at the hard muscled chest and the sleek perfect jaw. As she moved her head to look at the person, who was holding her close like she did to him, she saw the most beautiful oceanic blue eyes adored in silver glints. Those exact eyes were staring at her calmly.

She felt hot suddenly as her cheeks turned red. Slowly, she released her hold on him and sat up properly clutching the bed sheet to her chest.

She was not shy and she very well knew what happened last night.

She sighed looking at her nails as she didn't know what to say first. But she looked up to him again who was still observing her with a bored expression. Vladimir didn't get the hold of her thoughts as if she blocked him from reading. That she did unknowingly.

Though her thoughts were blocked but her emotions were stable he could sense. She was calm generously which made him sulk on her more. He was irritated inside not knowing what was going inside her head.

Anina smiled a little awkwardly stating, "Thank you for last night." Vladimir was surprised hearing her as a sudden shocking glint pass through his eyes but he masked his expression with a tight nod.

"You sure, you're feeling okay?" he asked toughing her hair locks that were scattered on her chest. Anina just modded silently giving in his sudden touch that made her toes curled in unknowing bliss.

Last night was not something any of them thought would happen. She felt at ease, near him. True, she still needed answers but she was willing to give it a chance too. She was thinking over the husband-wife thing.

He was someone anyone would love to be married with. He was a dream like. But Vampire? This is the terrifying thing to her. As she was thinking she felt his touch on the neck where her mighty tattoo was, she felt sheer bliss that made her shudder.

Vladimir looked at her with a sudden sumgged smile hearing her response to him. Yes, his mark. It had the pull over her every fiber of body, emotions. He had claimed her. His own territory. She was his now as he was hers.

Anina's hold on the bed sheet loosened as her bare chest come out which was covered a little by her hair. Anina felt shy all of a sudden though he had seen her vulnerable last night. He cherished & kissed her and gave her the bliss she was unaware of.

Vladimir stared at her with pride as the hickeys he gave her last night, were visible like it was printed on her skin. He so wished to take her and make her his by all means but he stopped himself. She needed time for that as his mark and his touch will let her be at ease for now.

Anina hastily covered herself in self-consciousness though she knew there was nothing to shy at. What was done, was done! No going back. But she needed time to think about things she was going to face. Mostly, how did everything feel so easy about this wedding?

She was terrified knowing she didn't even had any clue what had been going around her. But the man beside her knew all of it. She needed answers. She huffed in mind.

Vladimir who was looking at her like an unsolved puzzle she was! Finally, he decided to break the profound silence between them, "Don't think too much. You will find it stressful at once you start dealing with the reality."

He was not so warm or too hard while saying her those words. He was that, "that". No sugar coating words. True fact should be stated. She needed to be used to it. Anina wasn't the one to let go though.

"Reality? Ain't I already started dealing with the 'Reality' you're referring to?" Anina fired back in sudden anger. Vladimir's eyes snapped at her sudden change in behaviour.

His jaw was clenched. His eyes were getting dark. Anina who was looking at him, felt horrified.

As if he caught her reaction, Vladimir closed his eyes and turned away. He clenched his fist, jaw locked, eyes shut hard to suppress his anger.

"You okay...," her soft voice spoke, reaching out her trembling hand on his shoulder. Vladimir stiffened suddenly at her touch which made him go away in a flash. He just disappeared like smoke.

Anina looked at her shaky hand. She was at a loss for words. He vanished just like that. She felt her tears roll down feeling a sudden twitch in heart.

"What the hell just happened?" she fell silent in wonder and for the lack of knowledge. He was a freaking vampire. 'How I was so cool knowing what was going between us and how I could let this happen!' she thought.

Things going to be changed. She was not going to fall in this stupid pull again. She decided touching her most sensitive part, her tattooed neck.
