Heavenly Flame and secret inheritance

Li Xiu POV

After joining the sect my life has been going quite smoothly. At first everyone was skeptical about me but gradually accepted me as the divine son. My training was also going well and mother and father are also doing very well. With the resources from the sect my mother's cultivation is spirit core 5th stage and my father's cultivation is 4th stage primordial soul. My father had a special soul which doesn't fall within any divine body rankings but is comparable to one. So his cultivation is going fast especially I'm the primordial soul realm which is all about soul. Sect master has also discovered something about my mother's blood but he doesn't fully understands it.

I have trained in many daos and today is the first time I will get a heavenly essence which is the dream of countless cultivators. So today I am very excited.

" Today you will get your own heavenly essence. You have a special divine body so I have selected a heavenly fire that suits you the most. It's the Dao refining heavenly flame."

Elder Li said to me.

" What ?", I couldn't help but scream. I was shocked to the core. Elder Xiao was also very shocked. Dao refining heavenly flame is the 4th flame in the heavenly flame ranking. This was very shocking. The highest ranked heavenly essence in the sect excluding Elder Li's heavenly fire was the 7 colored heavenly thunder which was ranked 4th among the heavenly thunder. The highest ranked heavenly flame in the sect was the ranked 7th heavenly flame Heart Calming Lotus Flame and this was a type of flame which even some sacred forces doesn't have. In my stay at the sect I have found that,Elder Li is very mysterious and was actually the senior brother of the founder Myriad Sword Sect. Many people of the sect doesn't know this information. He is a peak emperor and has stayed in the sect since it's beginning. He is a emperor grade high tier alchemist that even sacred forces value and has the 2nd ranked heavenly flame which is very valuable. I asked why he gave it to me. Elder Li told Elder Xiao to leave and the things he said to me shocked me.

3rd person POV

After Elder Xiao went out of the room, Elder Li has a serious expression and said, " Do you want to know why I am giving you such a precious flame and why am I personally teaching you alchemy ?" Li Xiu replied with a nod. He really wanted to know why he was treated so specially. Elder Li was known to be aloof and seclusive. Even the sect Leader didn't get to meet Elder Li often but after he joined the sect Elder Li gave Li Xiu special treatment becoming his teacher in Alchemy. Elder Li said, " It's because of your divine body. Me and founder of this sect were the only disciples of Myriad Daos Great Emperor who was a powerful great emperor of his time. He also had the same divine body as you. Furthermore he was one of the two great emperors possessing the Chaos Refinement divine body. " Listening to this information made Li Xiu shocked. He knew that the founder of this sect and Elder Li were disciples of the same master but he never expected their master to be a Great Emperor and also a Great Emperor with the same divine body as his. Elder Xiao continued, " In the Demon and Divine beasts Calamity, he died. He knew that he couldn't excavate the true potential of his body. So he had told me if I encounter any person with Chaos Refinement Divine Body , I must help him to use the true potential of the divine body. Then I met you. Your qi signature is also like my master's. I want to fulfill my master's wish and I also want to see the true potential of the Chaos Refinement Divine Body." Li Xiu now knew everything and vowed to unlock the true potential of his divine body. Unlike other divine bodies in the top 10 rank which produced at least 10 Great Emperors , Chaos Refinement Divine Body only produced 2 and reason was because unlocking the true potential of this body was much harder than the divine body ranked 1st among the 3000 divine bodies. After knowing about his divine body Li Xiu had vowed to become a Great Emperor and elevate the Myriad Sword Sect to sacred force after its fall to 1st grade force. ( Myriad Sword Sect was a sacred force but fell to 1st grade)

After that Elder Li initiated the merging with the heavenly flame.

Li Xiu's POV

After knowing the truth my desire to become a Great Emperor became even more Greater. Fusing with the Dao refining heavenly flame will help me refine my body, spirit and soul.

( Spirit and Qi will used interchangeably)

It will also calm me mind and help me comprehend Dao. It's actually the best heavenly flame for me as my divine body has the capability of learning many daos. This flame will also improve my cultivation speed and will help my body refining. My body cultivation is that of xintian 8th stage and

reaching this state has been slow and painful.

Even with all the heaven, earth and even Saint grade herbs provided by the sect, the process of body refining is still arduous. But with Dao refining heavenly flame my body cultivation will be faster and less painful. It will help me very much. Elder Li also told to use the flame only in dangerous situation and to hide the Dao Refining Heavenly Flame, Elder Li even wants to merge the Three Dragon Heavenly flame ranked 15th among the heavenly flames .This flame is also the flame the sect had prepared for me. So I had to merge two heavenly flames. It may be one of the hardest things as even powerful cultivators at Origin realm would be turned into ashes. But because of the unique ability of Chaos Refinement Divine Body which can refine every Dao in one body including opposite attribute Dao the two heavenly flames could me merged with me. The only side effect was pain , a lot of pain.

Elder Li started to help me merge with the heavenly flames and he first wanted to merge Three dragons heavenly flame since it was of lower rank and would give me less pain. This flame would form when the core of three fire dragons at least with cultivation level comparable to Saint realm ( Dragons have different cultivation levels than humans) would merge under huge amounts of pressure for tens of thousands of years and even then the chance of producing the heavenly flame would be 1 percent.

And so the merging of Heavenly flame began. I could fell the heavenly flame going inside my body and intense heat. Elder Li gave me a White Lotus Yin Pill which is used for merging with heavenly flame. I took the pill and swallowed it. I felt great as the coldness from the pill countered the heat of the heavenly. The pill dissolve and turned into cold yin qi. After that the heavenly flame erupted and the yin qi was countering . Amidst the clash between yin qi of the pill and Yang qi of the flame, I felt extreme pain. The yin qi of the pill was holding down majority of the Yang qi but I could still feel the heat. The heat spiked and I screamed. It was unbearable. It felt as if all the cells of my body was burnt. I screamed and the pain increased more and I could fell my voice hoarse and my energy being drained. Even if the White Lotus Yin Pill was fighting against the heavenly fire, I felt the greatest pain from the heavenly fire that I had ever felt in my life. As the heavenly flame entered my Dantian and covering my spirit core as if it was refining it. After thet the flame stopped refining my spirit core. I could see that the flame was taking the shape of three dragons intertwined inside my Dantian. It finally stopped. The pain finally stopped. Black substances were ejected our of my body and I felt my body become much stronger. I experienced double breakthrough due to the flame , my body cultivation was Spirit core 1st stage and my qi cultivation was spirit core 5th stage.

I quickly forgot all the pain due to the joy of breakthrough. I was given some time to rest and consolidate my cultivation. I couldn't fully consolidate my cultivation but Elder Li said to refine another flame. Elder Li said that my cultivation will be consolidated by the Dao refining heavenly flame. So he begun merging Dao Refining Heavenly Flame with me. The flame covered my entire body penetrating me through my body pores. At the same time it took out the impurities from my body and qi. It was a pleasant feeling. I used my spirit sense to look inside me. I found the Dao Refining flame dancing beautifully in my Dantian. I suddenly felt a wave of euphoria as my soul was being refined by the flame. It was the greatest experience I had in my life. Maybe merging with this flame isn't painful as it seems. The euphoria lasted for 5 more minutes. Damn, I wish I could refine this flame forever. ..... I take back my words. It's fucking painful. Aahhhhhhhhhhhhbh, I screamed so much that I could produced any voice now. My body was meeting and even worse my soul was burning. This flame was burning my soul which is the most vulnerable part of a cultivator. But why did I fell a euphoria before this pain. Did this flame just feed me before slaughter? This flame is so despicable. After 5 hours of countless torture finally it ended and my consciousness also disappeared. Ok So I woke up and found out that I was unconscious for 1 week. But at the same time my spirit cultivation was spirit core 7th stage and my body cultivation was Spirit core 5th stage. My soul even became more powerful and my divine sense covered more area. I guess this flame has very much advantages. I saw a white colored beautiful flame dancing inside my Dantian. So it's the Dao Refining Heavenly Flame. When I was enjoying the beauty of flames in my Dantian, Elder Li interrupted me. Elder Li said, " You have fully integrated with the heavenly flames and your cultivation has increased. With this you can compete with other geniuses. There's a new inheritance opened which is of a peak emperor realm cultivator. He was a famous cultivator of his time and I even got some inspiration from him.". I was shocked. Giving some inspiration to a powerful cultivator like Elder Li, the cultivator must be very powerful. I asked, " What's the honourable cultivator's name, Elder? ". Elder Li said, " That cultivator's name is Patriarch Sins."
