As Dr. Connors, also known as the Lizard, was forcefully propelled, his massive body slammed into the nearby wall with a resounding crash, fracturing the wall on impact.

"Huh!" James exhaled sharply, thinking to himself with a hint of danger.

Despite the rough collision, Dr. Connors emerged unscathed. He rose to his feet, shaking off the dust like a primal creature, and snarled angrily as he lowered himself, ready to engage.

His thick, resilient skin made him a formidable opponent.

James flexed his aching arms, bearing the pain from earlier clashes. The fight had rattled his bones, leaving him with dislocated joints and a few cuts. For an ordinary person, these injuries would be debilitating, affecting their mobility and strength, much like how a bullet wound can impair Spider-Man's abilities.

Yet, James seemed unfazed by these issues. He had endured far worse during his training with the Zodiac Amor Suitcase and had grown accustomed to pain. As long as he could still move without further injury, he refused to back down.

"Bring it on!" James bellowed, charging headlong at Lizard.

Not one to back down from a challenge, Dr. Connors met James head-on with a fierce roar, reigniting their intense duel.

As James adjusted to Dr. Connors' fighting style, he found his rhythm. Dodging the attacks with agile footwork, he countered with strikes from his fists and feet against the lizard's sharp claws and formidable tail. Despite enduring a few blows that left his limbs numb and bruised, James pushed Dr. Lizard back steadily.

Dr. Connors relied on his sturdy defenses to weather the storm. Though the battle appeared messy, he held his ground and refused to be swiftly defeated.

Meanwhile, across town, the traffic on the bridge leading to the Disabled Soldiers Rehabilitation Center was at a standstill due to rush hour. Peter and Gwen navigated through the gridlocked cars on a skateboard, aiming for a specific vehicle amidst the sea of cars.

"Keep an eye out, Gwen. We can't afford to miss this," Peter urged as they weaved through traffic.

"Don't worry," Gwen replied confidently. "My observation skills are top-notch. I'm the best in class, after all."

"Can we skip that part..." Peter muttered.

Midway across the bridge, among the hundreds of cars, Gwen spotted a black Mercedes-Benz belonging to the Osborne Group.

"That's the car! The person Dr. Connors is after is in there, along with the serum," Gwen confirmed, determination in her voice.

Approaching the car, Gwen knocked on the window and engaged in a heated exchange with the suited man in the backseat. Dismissive and arrogant, the man brushed off Gwen's concerns.

Undeterred, Gwen reached in through the window, demanding the serum. But as the tension escalated, the driver rolled up the window, trapping Gwen's arm and causing her pain. Still, she held on, refusing to let go until she retrieved the serum.

Threats were exchanged, with the man insinuating repercussions for Gwen's internship and future studies. Though tempted by these threats, Gwen stood her ground, adamant about reclaiming the serum.

Just then, a white spider silk shot through the window, snatching the serum from the man's grasp. The silk darted out of the car, landing safely in the hands of a figure perched on the bridge's guardrail.

Peter, now in his Spider-Man attire, addressed the gathered crowd, explaining the danger of the serum and his intervention to prevent misuse.

With the serum secured, Peter made a dramatic exit, leaving the scene as bystanders cheered his heroics.

Later, as they made their way back, Gwen remained silent, lost in thought.

"Spider-Man took the serum. Shouldn't we inform Dr. Connors? This could be a turning point in his plan," Peter remarked, trying to lighten the mood.

Gwen turned to him with a knowing look. "You're Spider-Man!"

Peter stumbled on his skateboard, nearly colliding with a passing car.

"No, what are you talking about? Spider-Man just left moments ago. Everyone saw," Peter responded unconvincingly.

"James already confessed as Sentinel. I thought you were just his assistant, but you're actually Spider-Man. Don't deny it; I recognize your voice," Gwen stated, seeing through Peter's attempt to hide.

"I didn't expect James, with his bold demeanor, to hide his superhero identity," she added with a hint of amusement.
