~Third POV~

Two people were enjoying the view of the golden sun in an orange sky over the tall grass and autumn trees.

In front of Summer's Gravestone is a young girl with a cloak billowing petal in the breeze while another is an older version with her hand on the young girl shoulder.

Hands clasped and hood up, Ruby Rose stands over the white stone memorial with Summer gazing at it with a sad smile, "It really has been a long time… I missed so much of my girl's childhood lives. Missing out a large portion of your lives."

Ruby lowering her hood, smiling sadly downward looks down at the inscription: 'Summer Rose – Thus Kindly I Scatter' with Summer tearing up, "I… I really miss out on my little girls' life. To your birthdays… to your first school day… or family time. I… I have so much to catch up and yet feels like I missed out on you and Yang's life. I'm a – "

Before Summer could continue Ruby hugs Summer shocking her a bit before she replied embracing her, "No. It was Salem's fault separating us. From our family. You are the best mommy I could ever have. You… you did all you could to keep me, dad, and Yang safe. You are already a hero to us mom."

Stopping hearing Ruby's voice shuts up and accepts the hug in return.

The two stood like that for a while before they let go with Summer finally asking something of her daughter, "Sniff… ok Ruby. Then please tell me how your life has had been doing my little rose."

Ruby smiles happily as she began to talk to Summer of their life over the course of the few days that happened, "Sorry I haven't come by in a while. Things have been... well, things have been, pretty busy. Oh, Dad's here, too! He's, uh, you know... Dad."

Summer laughs a bit at that while Ruby just shrugs acting bashful while continuing to talk to her mother looking forlornly, "He's still teaching at Signal. But he told me that he's going to be on some mission soon. I think he misses adventuring with you. I miss you too."

Summer holds her daughter hand ensuring she won't be leaving making Ruby pause a bit before she smiles lightly at her continuing, "Haven't gotten kicked out of Beacon yet! So that's cool. I think being on a team with Yang helps. Keep her in line... That was a joke."

"Pfft…"

Summer holds in her laughter of Ruby joke as she scratches the back of her head thinking it wasn't that good of a joke before finally continuing explaining, "She's actually a really great fighter! You can tell she's learned a lot from Dad! Oh, so are Weiss and Blake. Oh! They're my teammates! Together, we form Team RWBY!"

Summer eyebrow raised slightly in confusion before finally asking Ruby about it, "As in the team name or your name?"

Ruby laughs lightly understanding the misunderstanding of her name explaining Summer's question, "Hahaha… before you ask, that does cause a lot of confusion. Anyways, I made a bunch of new friends, and then I met some... let's just say, uh, odd teachers. Oh! We've also stopped some bad guys, too! I guess it's like they say: "like mother, like daughter"! I still wonder why Ozpin let me into the school early… But uh, I guess it's because of our Silver Eyes. You know how he is."

Summer nods in understanding sighing out of her breath replying her experience with Ozpin during her time, "Yeah… that sounds like him alright. Wouldn't want a chance to let one of us go away. He sounds more like Qrow these days. Weird since his more anti cryptic and blunt of what he says."

Ruby laughs lightly at that understanding what Summer meant as she replied back to Summer, "Haha! Yeah, I know right?! It's funny, the more I get to know him, the more he's starting to sound like Uncle Qrow."

"Arf!"

Suddenly a bark alerts the two to the ever-adorable Zwei and the sight of her father, Taiyang Xiao Long, and Yang in the trees behind them with Ruby replying to the scene, "Oh! Looks like Dad's back! I gotta go! He's dropping me off at Beacon for the tournament match before he goes on his next mission. Wish me luck!"

Summer nods as she places her hands-on Ruby hood back on giving her a hug while talking to her daughter, "I know you will do well my little rose and little dragon. Now just go in and kick their butts!"

Ruby nods with Summer being loud enough for Yang to smile and Ruby starts to walk away, but turns and delivers one final message to her mother, "Mom… It was good to talk to you again."

Like that Ruby returns to Tai and Yang direction with Zwei going over to Summer rubbing his body on her leg picking Zwei up speaking to herself, "It was good talking to you again my children. I hope you all grow up safe and sound."

~Cinder POV~

Everything has been gone through the fucking fool!

That idiot useless fool!

Jax Asturias is the biggest idiot I have the ever known!

He decided to try and capture one of the Heroes of Remnant!

No if it was anyone else, I wouldn't have cared much but the one my Mistress told me to not fight against till I was ready was Jack Nights and what did that fool did?

Got himself decapitated along with his loyalist died with his sister causing suicide not wanting to either face my Mistress wrath or my OWN!

Gritting my teeth at our hidden location in the Vale Kingdom villages away from Vale City we have to keep ourselves hidden from them thanks to Lionheart capture.

To think that brat that boy Jack Nights a nobody on the top of the building helping Roman escape the day we first met would become the biggest thorn on my side to even now is unconceivable!

Mercury and Emerald still stood by my side to even now despite losing pawns to use for the Vytal Festival invasion with only Grimm and few Adam's supporters left when they heard the news.

Despite the fact that the video of his death or rumors of it was passed through few members of the White Fang wanted to attack Jack Nights HQ and kill him on sight for getting rid of their fearless leader.

But at least with Roman gone we have been able to fill in the Vale Criminal Underworld with a new Kingpin that fortunately works under Salem.

"Excuse me miss the boss wants to talk to you."

Speak of the devil and he shall appear.

Turning our eyes over and agreeing with a nod we left the home we were hidden taken to another part of the village under our new Kingpin control.

Going ahead inside a large home we entered inside with the man in question replying in a deep accent with only us and my servants sitting down on the table, "Cinder! Great to meet you since you failed on getting allies then fan boys! So… what's the message from our great Mistress from beyond?"

Vermillion Raddock.

Another one of our members within Salem's circle and a powerhouse of the criminal underworld for us to gather intel.

Vermillion is a tall man, dark skinned man with red hair. He wears a dark grey pig mask, and a red leather jacket and pants. Further, he wears sleeveless gloves. Vermillion is described as speaking with a deep accent.

Vermillion appears to be a threatening man, shown when he first made an appearance in the Pastel estate with the audience frightened by him. Once Vermillion took over the Hana Guild, he stopped the production of narcotics and instead began dealing with weapons.

He also took an interest in the magical artifacts of Kuchinashi, under orders from Salem to retrieve them… sadly things in Kuchinashi didn't plan out as he hoped.

He was thwarted by a group of hunters named Team SAFR and forced to run away after being driven off by Huntsmen reinforcements sent by Leonardo Lionheart, he swore that he would personally hunt down Team SAFR himself.

Seeing that his here I guess he didn't get his so-called revenge.

But considering that Vermillion failed miserably at the time Salem ordered him to collect more magic artifacts in secret till his services are needed.

And he came at the right time with Roman gone and the Criminal Underground in a state of a power vacuum without Roman Torchwick Vermillion used this opportunity to take full control under Salem orders.

Since then, Vermillion has been the one in control of Vale Criminal Underworld keeping us safe for the time being while I replied to him, "Of course. Our Mistress talked about when the attack will happen during the Vytal Festival during the final stages. We wait our time and strike when they are weak. After all…"

*Shiii*

Activating my Fall Maiden powers with one of my eyes lightening up I replied to Vermillion of my job, "You are a distraction causing massive trouble during the Grimm invasion. While I take the other half of the power I worked hard to get."

Vermillion chuckles inside his own pig mask agreeing immediately in amusement then seriousness at the end, "Hahaha! Yeah… I can't wait. Hazel and the crazy one would be joining. Because of the blatant failures lately. We cause enough uproar for you to steal the Maiden powers. Got it?"

Flinching at the mention of Tyrian coming over didn't make me all too happy but he would be ideal to take care of making a big distraction alright.

With this plan we can finally get everything over with and using Mistress new pet against Jack Nights even he would be having a difficult time dealing against this Grimm.

After all this one has been genetically mutated and pure copy of a certain group of people making him doubt when seeing them.

You have to admit one thing the scientist and mistress working together could create a formidable monsters in human form.
