Chapter 37 Rise of troll warlord

Meanwhile, the mission had been progressing within expectations. The iceborns didn't move suspiciously as Regina had calculated before instead they were kind and open to their team which was surprising for these northerns.

The blue Lion squad captain folded his arms as he observed his surroundings. He didn't like the scenery because there was something unprecedented. It was the look on their faces. They were tired and hungry. Moreover, he could smell the fishy smell of blood in the air which indicated there were many injured people in this tribe.

" Strange, why are there so many injured in this place? The iceborns are undefeated in the North. Even our army couldn't force them out."

The captain said with indifference in his tone. His eyes clearly showed his intentions to Regina who was also skeptical about the alliance talk.

" Don't lower your guard. We have to be on our guard."

Regina said while raising her eyebrows. Her sharp eyes told the secret that was hidden away from them. It was the tragedy in this tribe.

" They are raided by something stronger than them."

She thought while looking at the delegates. It was more complicated than she initially planned for.

" We are here."

The delegates spoke coldly while stopping before a giant tent that had a large number of hides outside.

" Let them in."

A powerful woman's voice came inside the tent.

Creak*

The guards opened the door as they stepped in. Regina stepped in first to show who was the leader of this team.

" Ugh!"

She felt giant pressure on her shoulders as she looked at the woman who was sitting on the main seat. Her braided white hair was long enough to reach her waist and she had giant muscles unlike her. There was a giant axe next to her seat.

" You are one of the leaders in the north, Greia Winterhide!"

Regina said with respect in her tone. She knew this woman was a monster who could fight their king in his prime. She was the strongest berserker in the north with unimaginable raw strength that could suppress her enemies.

" You are a talented girl. The same goes for the young man next to you. Tsk* as expected from the elites of the south."

Greia said while rubbing her chin. Her giant muscles were flexing like they had their own consciousness.

" Well, let's forget about it. The reason for my request is there was a variance."

She spoke with coldness in her blue eyes. She took off the gauntlet in her left hand and showed them a giant scar underneath it.

Regina gasped with surprise because no one could below Saint level could damage her tough body.

" How is this possible?"

The captain said with surprise in his voice. He couldn't believe someone could injure her this badly in this place where she was the absolute powerhouse.

" Huu, too young. There are plenty of beings that could overpower me and your king. But this isn't a normal being. It was a troll warlord."

Greia said while picking her pipe up. She puffed out the smoke as her eyes were filled with hatred. She touched the area where he had mutilated.

" Troll warlord? Aren't they in their territory in the extreme south? How could a low intelligent race of frozen trolls have one?"

Regina frowned while speaking with an unbelieving look.

" Apparently, they are capable of having a special mutation like this. That is why I wanted to form an alliance with you. I will hunt it down while you have to distract his minions. My warriors help you."

Greia said while smoking. Her blue eyes showed her confidence in this situation but that wasn't enough to persuade them. Regina understood this wasn't simple as she said.

" What about other tribe leaders or warriors?"

The captain asked with confusion because the north would be in danger if there was a troll warlord in their area. Most of the troll warlords weren't peaceful and kind. They are bloodthirsty beings with ultimate malevolent hearts.

" Those fools are busy with their affairs. Even Iron-hearted one isn't available at the moment thanks to their war with each other. Besides, barbarians aren't sitting idly either."

Greia said while rubbing her forehead with distress
