A young man smiled while looking at a burly northern man with tattoos. He was almost twice his size yet the man was also enjoying this match.
They rubbed their bodies with snow, cooling down their bodies to have fun.
" Come on, Reton. Throw Licht away!"
A barbarian woman with orange hair cheered on her friend, looking at Licht with a mischievous look. She pulled up her sleeve and showed her arm to mock Licht who was focusing on his opponent and almost staggered down.
" What's wrong, Licht? Afraid of me?"
Reton laughed with joy, grabbing his body. Licht didn't sit idly as he held him by his pants as he threw the huge man on the ground with sheer strength which marveled iceborns and barbarians who loved strength. They cheered loudly, chanting his name with bright faces that encouraged him.
" Hey, you are going to catch a cold."
Leah threw a fur coat to him out of kindness. During these 3 years, they became quite close as team members and friends. Among the squad members Licht who contributed the most hung out with natives and broadened their relations.
Especially they were promoted to 2 ranks and got hefty salaries thanks to his relationships with the natives. The kingdom highly valued his mind and skill as they granted him Sergeant rank with a medal that symbolized his status. Moreover, they were garrisoned in the north for 3 years with various special tasks, so they were the most famous squad here.
" Thanks, Leah. As expected you are a great friend."
Licht said with a smile while wiping his sweat off. His platinum hair shone under the bright sun as his well-toned muscles pricked out from his coat, making her blush because she had no experience with men. Although she was a skilled scout and assassin, in 3 years she never dated anyone because of the northern people's looks and culture. Furthermore, she disliked people who only pursued her due to her being beautiful.
" Agh! The match is already over!"
Daemon ran to them with a distressed expression. His giant muscles and sweat smell hit Leah's nose, disgusting her. She backed off from him and stood behind Licht's back since he smelled good. Besides, she didn't want to spar against this fool, knowing he would ask either her or Licht to battle against him for his training.
" Oh, mother sent you early today. Did she enjoy her time?"
Lisha walked out of the tent, looking at pale-faced Daemon who tightened his belt. It was no secret that Greia and he had a relationship because he would always come out from her tent at night. However, she didn't know that Daemon had no choice in this matter. He was training to become strong, so he could escape from her clutches as a man. It was humiliating that he had to be violated by a woman and most importantly his teammates shut their ears because they thought it was consensual.
" Ah, she triggered his PTSD."
Leah muttered, pitying him with her cold face. Among the squad members, only she acknowledged that Daemon hated being a consort-type man.
Lisha tried to pet it, but the wolf didn't even bother hiding his intentions. He disliked everyone except for him and he was a divine God descendant. There was no way he would allow a human to touch his noble fur.
" That is very rude, Chono. She was just saying hi to you."
Licht strokes his fur while looking at his eyes. His calm eyes gazed at him, making him sigh once again because he understood his intentions. He wasn't going to bow his head or apologize to anyone.
" Alright, you win."
He sighed helplessly while taking out a frozen berry from his backpack. This was his favorite snack, so he always carried it around with him.
Chono swallowed the berry, savoring the delicious taste that came from its flesh. Unlike other wolves, he hated eating raw meat since it tasted terrible to his recognition. Hence, he always demanded good food from his partner.
" There you are. I was looking for you guys. Hurry up we have a new mission to complete."
Regina spoke calmly, showing the letter with the royal seal.
