Thunder on a Clear Day

Back in the day, even though Hank Pym had resigned and left S.H.I.E.L.D. on his own terms, in a way, he was also pushed out.

Because of this, he had a grudge with the Stark family.

As the saying goes, a good horse does not eat the grass it has already passed. Dr. Pym didn't originally want to return to S.H.I.E.L.D., but they offered him too much...

After some negotiation, Dr. Pym was able to return to S.H.I.E.L.D. as an external consultant. He not only received official funding but also maintained a great deal of independence.

Furthermore, the authorities helped him regain control of Pym Industries and promised to assist him in his experiments in the quantum field.

Of course, Hank Pym was getting older, and he didn't care much about wealth and power. He left the company in the hands of his daughter and was now most concerned about finding his wife and reuniting the family. To achieve this, he needed the help of Scott Lang.

"Congratulations, Dr. Pym!" Scott Lang sincerely congratulated him. They had cooperated well in the previous quiz game.

After some brief pleasantries, Dr. Pym got down to business. "Scott, I hope you'll join my lab. Don't worry; I won't interfere with your personal life or decisions. But I promise to train you to be a capable... Ant-Man!"

Facing Dr. Pym's candid gaze, Scott Lang didn't hesitate and immediately agreed to his offer.

He was just a superhero candidate with some potential at best right now. Even if he had performed exceptionally well in the videos from the future, after all, the future hadn't happened yet.

Scott Lang actually wanted to join the Avengers directly or even a higher organization like the Multiverse Defenders. But at the very least, he had to become a superhero to qualify for that.

"Doctor, I know what you want me to do, and don't worry, I'll cooperate with you. But before that, I'd better go for a comprehensive check-up!" Scott Lang said with a mournful expression.

Hank Pym nodded. "Alright, I'll give you an address. When you're ready, come find me."

After giving these instructions, he turned and left. The lab had just been restarted, and there was a lot of work to do, keeping him busy.

After being released from prison, Scott Lang didn't rush to find the Avengers. Instead, he went home first. He was no longer the loser from the normal timeline.

As a certified world-saving superhero thanks to the quiz game, he received a warm welcome after finding his ex-wife. Of course, her current husband wasn't too pleased.

To be honest, Scott didn't have any intention of breaking up his ex-wife's marriage. His main goal now was Hank Pym's daughter.

After spending two good days with his little daughter, during which he repeatedly declined his ex-wife's not-so-subtle requests for reconciliation, Scott Lang finally went to the Avengers' headquarters.

Nowadays, thanks to the quiz game, superheroes have become more down-to-earth and popular.

The Avengers' headquarters were located within Stark Industries, and as Scott Lang made his way there, the people he met along the way were very friendly and polite. They recognized him at a glance, and he even gained a few fans, like the taxi driver he had just ridden with, who took a selfie with him.

This made Scott Lang look forward to his days as a superhero in the future.

"Sir, please wait a moment."

Scott Lang, wearing a cheerful expression, entered the Stark Industries building. The receptionist recognized him and immediately said she would inform the higher-ups.

Before long, Scott Lang was escorted to a meeting room, where he also saw a lively teenager.

"Hey, Ant-Man! I know you! Wow, your ability to grow is so cool!"

The teenager was very lively and approached Scott, pulling him into a selfie. Scott wasn't quite used to this celebrity treatment, but he naturally felt excited and obliged the teenager by taking a few pictures.

However, after the overly lively teenager took some photos with him, he pestered Scott to demonstrate his abilities.

Scott Lang felt helpless, he hadn't even received the Ant-Man suit yet but since the teenager was his fan, he couldn't just say he couldn't do it.

Just when he was feeling a headache, the meeting room door was pushed open again, and a burly bodyguard stuck his head in, beckoning to the teenager. "Peter, stop fooling around; Tony is looking for you!"

"Oh, okay!" The lively teenager, who was none other than the future Spider-Man, Peter Parker, cheerfully greeted Scott Lang before following the bodyguard, Happy, out.

Scott Lang scratched his head and muttered to himself belatedly, "Could this kid be the Spider-Man who defeated me in the Civil War among the Avengers?"

Not long after, the meeting room door opened again, and it was still the same burly bodyguard, Happy. "Scott, it's your turn for the physical examination."

Scott approached and asked, "Where are they? I mean, Captain America, Thor, and the others?"

Happy shrugged. "They're busy, you know, superheroes always have plenty of things to do. Right now, it seems they're off to other worlds."

"Other worlds?" Scott Lang's eyes lit up. "I wonder when I'll be able to save the world with them."

Happy put his arm around Scott's shoulder and smiled. "That day will come. Now, it's most important for you to get your physical check-up, right?"

Even though others were not around, S.H.I.E.L.D. had arranged for Coulson to take care of him and provided a comprehensive examination.

"Don't worry, you look perfectly fine. There shouldn't be any major issues," Coulson reassured him with a smile.

Scott Lang nodded, thinking there shouldn't be any major problems. After all, he had lost his ability to steal during the second round of the quiz game, so there shouldn't be any significant losses this time.

He didn't have any major health problems at the moment. After receiving a comprehensive examination and holding the examination results in his hand, Scott Lang panicked, "Oh my god, please tell me this isn't true!"

Scott Lang slumped onto the examination bed, looking at the attractive woman in front of him.

This woman's name was Helen Cho, a friend of Tony Stark. She had recently been invited to join S.H.I.E.L.D. to provide medical support and assist with logistics and support for the Avengers.

It was she who had conducted Scott's physical examination.

Helen Cho looked at Scott with sympathetic eyes. "I'm very sorry, but your examination report shows no issues whatsoever. Well, except for the fact that you've lost your normal male function. Otherwise, you're physically healthy with no major problems, just a need for regular exercise."

That's right, after undergoing a comprehensive examination, Scott Lang discovered that the ability he had lost in the second round was his male reproductive function...

This was truly a bolt from the blue!
