Nick Fury

With time running out, after Stephen Strange agreed to help, they immediately set their plan into action.

They intended to have Superman intervene to rescue the Asgardian refugees before Thanos could harm them. Superman readily agreed; for him, saving people was as natural as eating and drinking.

As he was about to fly off, Captain America stopped him, "Clark, hold on. We can first find Carol and have her join you. It would be safer that way!"

They had seen Captain Marvel's power in the videos released during the previous quiz game. She could move freely in space and had the strength to confront Thanos head-on. She seemed like a female Superman.

Clark Kent shook his head, "No need, I can handle it alone."

Tony Stark glanced at him and reminded, "Thanos now has the Power Stone; he's not easy to deal with, Clark. We should be cautious."

Bruce Wayne added, "We don't have time to delay any further, and Clark needs to find the refugee ship in the vast universe. Let him go first, and we'll stay in contact. Once we reach Carol, we can have her support Clark."

This arrangement seemed suitable. Steve Rogers patted Superman's shoulder, "We know you're strong, but be careful!"

Diana raised an eyebrow, "If necessary, I can also go to support you."

Peter Parker reminded, "Mr. Kent, please take care, no matter what!"

"Thank you!" Clark smiled, feeling comforted by his companions' concerns. Without further ado, he raised his hands, and he soared into the sky, creating a sonic boom beneath him as he sped towards the high altitude.

Peter Parker couldn't help but praise, "Mr. Kent is truly... unstoppable."

Tony Stark raised an eyebrow, "Alright, everyone, it's time for us to take action too. Let's stay in contact!"

They were going to find other Avengers and unite them before Thanos attacked. Bruce Wayne possessed the Space Stone, and Doctor Strange could help them open portals, so it wouldn't take long to contact scattered Avengers.

Tony Stark and Peter Parker's team, after passing through the portal, found themselves in a secluded alley.

Spider-Man looked around and asked, "Mr. Stark, why don't we first find you and me from this timeline?"

Tony Stark pulled out a tablet and operated it, glancing at Spider-Man, "Most people, after watching the future video of Thanos, think that we, the Avengers, and superheroes, are the real protagonists... And that's not entirely wrong. But Nick is also crucial, at least at this moment, his importance surpasses many. Do you understand?"

Peter Parker nodded thoughtfully, "Because of Captain Marvel?"

Tony Stark saw the halo symbol on the tablet screen and smirked, "I found him, this guy is hiding pretty deep!"

He then mused, "Who would have thought that this guy even knows a space-based superhero? I mean, when he faced Thor and Bruce back then he was so calm, and I think that the reason was because he had Carol as his backing"

Fury seemed simple, just an ordinary Earth agent, but he was hiding a lot beneath the surface. Even before becoming the head of S.H.I.E.L.D., he had teamed up with Captain Marvel for space operations.

In terms of experience and knowledge, Fury was much stronger than Tony, Captain America, and the others. It's no wonder he could assemble the Avengers single-handedly and lead a group of highly skilled superheroes, all while being just an ordinary man.

In some ways, Nick Fury was similar to Batman; both liked to keep an ace up their sleeves, especially when it came to setting up safe houses, they took the "the fox knows many tricks" theory to the extreme.

If it weren't for Tony Stark using advanced technology to help, finding this guy in a short time would have been challenging.

When Iron Man and Spider-Man knocked on his door, Fury was organizing information in his safe house. Upon hearing the knock, he remained expressionless, took out a gun, and quietly approached the entrance.

Before he could ask, a familiar voice came from outside, "Nick, it's me, open the door."

Tony?

Director Fury stepped forward to open the door but remained vigilant, his face showing no emotion. "Such great weather, and you don't take a break but come to find me?"

As he said this, he glanced at the Spider-Man beside Tony Stark.

Tony Stark shrugged and, after closing the door behind him, said, "Relax, Nick, we come from a different parallel timeline..."

He could tell that Fury was very cautious, so he didn't waste any time and explained the situation concisely.

Nick Fury, being a person who had experienced major events, remained unfazed even when Tony Stark shared unbelievable stories. He maintained a steady gaze on Tony Stark and asked a critical question, "How can I trust that everything you're saying is true?"

People like Nick Fury were often naturally suspicious and had many hidden agendas.

Tony Stark shrugged, and a name slipped from his lips, "Carol Danvers..."

Director Fury couldn't help but narrow his eyes. Not many knew that name. Following Tony Stark's words, he continued, "Nick, I guess you still have a 20th-century pager in your pocket, right? you've hidden it deep. You clearly knew about Carol's abilities, so why didn't you call her for help during the Battle of New York? I almost got blown up by a nuclear bomb back then!"

Upon hearing this, Director Fury's expression finally changed.

After becoming the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., information and files related to Carol Danvers had been classified as top-secret. However, it couldn't guarantee that no one knew about her.

After all, S.H.I.E.L.D. had long been infiltrated by Hydra, and so-called leaks of top-secret information were not uncommon.

It couldn't be ruled out that the person claiming to be Iron Man from another timeline standing before him was actually Hydra or some other evil force in disguise.

But knowing about the pager, that couldn't be explained by a simple information leak.

Captain Marvel's pager was one of Nick Fury's deepest secrets!

As one of his most closely guarded cards, Nick Fury wouldn't easily reveal it. Therefore, he was now inclined to believe about 80% of what Tony Stark had said.
