The Unruly Joker

Outside the video, Peter Parker speculates, "This should be after you defeated Ra's al Ghul's attempt to destroy Gotham!"

Bruce Wayne nodded, "At least Gotham City has seen some hope."

Before this, he only had the idea of becoming Batman, but he wasn't clear about the kind of change he would bring to Gotham.

However, through the revelations in this Quiz game, Bruce Wayne now sees clearly that the path of Batman is indeed viable.

He has become even more determined in his belief.

In the video, Commissioner Gordon reports some details to Batman and reminds him that a new character has emerged in Gotham recently, someone who enjoys theatrics just like Batman.

This person also likes to leave his mark at the crime scene - a playing card with "joker" printed on it when turned over.

Outside the screen, Commissioner Gordon raised an eyebrow and said, "Look, a new opponent has appeared again. See, this is Gotham's chaos. It's never short of these peculiar criminals."

Bruce Wayne said in a deep voice, "Whoever it is, we will catch them in the end!"

In the video, the scene shifted to daytime in Gotham, still bustling but also harboring evil. A few thieves wearing clown masks were preparing to rob a bank.

It's clear that these people are directly connected to the new adversary revealed earlier, Joker.

There were six of them, and besides Joker as the mastermind, the other five were the ones directly carrying out the robbery. They split into two groups: three drove directly to assault the bank, and the remaining two cut the bank's alarm system on the rooftop to provide backup.

But before they could succeed, they started fighting among themselves.

The bank they were robbing wasn't an ordinary one; it belonged to a criminal syndicate. Several thieves were secretly complaining about Joker, who had planned this robbery behind the scenes - it was outrageous to betray your own kind.

After a series of twists and turns, only one of them remained after the in-fighting. The bank's manager, who had been knocked to the ground, couldn't help but sneer and taunt, "Do you think you're clever? Huh? The people who hired you will ensure your fate is the same as everyone else's! The criminals of the past had principles, honour, and respect. Look at you, what principles can you talk about?!"

This bank manager, working for the criminal syndicate, was obviously not a respectable person either.

Outside the screen, Commissioner Gordon chuckled and said, "Bad guys talking about principles, honour, and respect – that's the funniest thing I've heard today."

Peter Parker shrugged, "He probably wanted to say they were talking about the mob's rules. Clearly, this Joker has no regard for rules."

Bruce Wayne commented, "Bad guys without rules are even harder to deal with."

Peter Parker wondered, "I'm curious about this surviving thief, what will happen to him when he goes back? Will Joker take him out, or will he take out Joker?"

From the conversation among these thieves earlier, it was already evident that Joker, who had planned this heist, didn't seem to get directly involved. But soon, Spider-Man realized he had guessed wrong.

In the video, the remaining thief took out a hand grenade and stuffed it into the bank manager's mouth, saying, "My principle is... what doesn't kill you makes you stranger!"

As he said this, he removed his clown mask, revealing an eerie face painted with the Joker's makeup. He grinned, and that smile was enough to send shivers down anyone's spine.

"Is he the Joker? He's been hiding among these robbers!" Peter Parker raised his eyebrows, "Wow, he looks like a lunatic!"

Bruce Wayne remarked, "Clearly, he has some serious mental issues."

Next to him, Arthur felt somewhat uncomfortable. He also suffered from mental illness, and worse, he was currently dressed as the Joker too.

And Arthur had a nagging feeling that he had seen this Joker, with his unsettling and insane smile, somewhere before, but he couldn't recall where. Perhaps he had seen himself in the mirror?

At this moment, Spider-Man reminded, "We have a question!"

The video paused, and a new question appeared:

"Who caused Bruce Wayne to lose his loved one?]

[A: Ra's al Ghul

B: Jonathan Crane

C: Harvey Dent

D: Joker.]

Peter Parker raised an eyebrow, "The video we just watched was mostly about the Joker, so option D seems the most likely... But sometimes, quiz games intentionally mislead us, so we should be cautious in our judgment."

Bruce Wayne narrowed his eyes. He was more concerned about the question than the four options.

Losing a loved one? Did it refer to someone he would lose in the future?

He recalled a warning from his butler Alfred, advising him that becoming Batman, becoming a symbol of justice, meant he would face many dangers, and those around him could also be affected.

Honestly, when Bruce Wayne decided to become Batman, he mentally prepared for this kind of tragedy, but he didn't want it to become a reality.

Commissioner Gordon looked at him and said, "I also think... Option D has a high likelihood. The video we just watched only mentioned Joker."

"Then let's choose D!" Bruce Wayne nodded. He wanted to understand how this future tragedy would unfold.

Soon, the countdown for answering the question began, and the four players simultaneously pressed their response buttons. Arthur unexpectedly got the chance to answer.

He was surprised and then delighted, as correctly answering a question would earn him a high score. Of course, provided he answered correctly.

Peter Parker reminded him, "Mr. Arthur, if you answer the question incorrectly, you'll lose 4 points. You don't have to listen to us; make your own choice."

Taking a deep breath, Arthur said, "I... I trust you all. I choose D for this question!"

The other three players also chose D. As Commissioner Gordon had said, in the video they just watched, the Joker was mentioned most frequently.

Since it was emphasized in advance that the question would be directly related to the video, the correct answer was likely Joker.

As expected, the correct answer didn't deviate from their expectations.

[ the correct answer is: D: Joker]

[Congratulations to player Arthur Fleck for correctly answering the question and gaining 4 points. Player Bruce Wayne, player Peter Parker and player Jim Gordon answered the question correctly and gained 1 point each.]

Following this, the screen played the video with the correct answer.
