Chaos Is Fair

One has to admit that Joker has some impressive manipulative skills that have taken both the audience and players by surprise.

When they saw Joker disguise himself and sneak into the hospital, even getting close to Harvey Dent, they all thought that Harvey Dent was in deep trouble.

But unexpectedly, Joker didn't kill anyone; instead, he used his insane brain to influence the White Knight.

Peter Parker said, "What does this person really want to do? I thought he'd kill the district attorney!"

Commissioner Gordon frowned, "You can't understand the thoughts of a madman normally, but the fact that he didn't kill anyone is a good thing. Harvey Dent is performing exceptionally well in this future video. If he can overcome this challenge, he can certainly bring light to the dark city of Gotham. If he dies at the hands of this madman, it will be a great loss for all of Gotham!"

So far, Harvey Dent's performance has been outstanding. He is no less impressive than Batman, respecting the laws and regulations while being adaptable and resourceful.

He possesses both the ability and eloquence. If someone like him enters politics, supported by the wealthy Bruce Wayne, they might genuinely transform Gotham from top to bottom successfully.

At this moment, there are indeed many Gotham citizens watching this live broadcast, and Harvey Dent has caught their attention. They express their intention to vote for him if Harvey runs for office.

It should be people like him, capable and dedicated to justice and light, who should become the mayor to address Gotham's security and other issues!

However, Bruce Wayne said, "Joker didn't kill anyone, and perhaps the consequences are even more severe than if he killed Harvey Dent. Listen to what this madman is saying. He's manipulating Harvey, and he wants to destroy Gotham's hope!"

Arthur nodded, "I think the same way. Joker not killing anyone might have a reason. He wants to make the game more interesting."

Peter Parker and Gordon's faces and expressions became serious, and they continued to watch the video.

In the video, Joker was suppressing Harvey Dent while also presenting his own ideas and arguments.

"I did what I had to do. I used your little plan and turned the situation around. Look, I just used a few oil drums and a few bullets to turn this city into chaos. You know what I found? When the conspirators' 'plan' is executed perfectly, no one feels uneasy, even if that plan is inhumane.

Suppose I were to tell the media tomorrow, 'I'm going to kill a juvenile delinquent' or blow up a truckload of soldiers. No one would panic because it's all part of the plan. But when I say, 'That worthless old mayor is going to die,' then you see, everyone acts like they've gone mad!"

"Fool! What nonsense is this madman talking about? Does he only have killing, arson, and destruction on his mind? Juvenile delinquents, soldiers, and mayor, they are all human beings, entitled to the right to life!"

"No, no, no. I don't think this madman is that crazy. I mean, what he just said actually makes some sense. People are different from each other, If what this madman said is going to happen, the consequences will indeed be as he described."

"Is Joker's 'plan' the order of civilized society? The rich and politicians have established these rules and order. They also dominate the law. If they are threatened, the foundation of the order will shake. But what if it's us poor folks who are threatened? What impact will it have?"

"Oh my, how can you think like this? Have you all gone mad like Joker?"

Joker's words in the live video naturally had a considerable impact on the audience group. While most people considered it the ravings of a lunatic terrorist, some believed that this madman had actually revealed the truth of modern civilized society.

The latter were mostly residents of Gotham's slums, such as the chaotic Narrows island. Compared to the prosperous and bustling city centre of Gotham, with its towering skyscrapers, this small island, despite being just a river away, felt like a completely different world.

If the prosperous Gotham is heaven, then Narrows Island is hell.

Some people are born to live in heaven, always looking up, with the occasional glance downward, like Bruce Wayne, who ultimately became a freak in the eyes of the public.

Because what Batman does completely contradicts the normal operating rules of civilized society. A rich heir like Bruce Wayne should inherit the family legacy, manage capital and companies, and amass more profit and wealth. Occasionally show some kindness by donating money, revealing a bit to help the poor, and that should be enough, right?

Why pretend to be Batman, roam around all night, not enjoying life, but engaging in acts of chivalry and justice, in other words, sitting on the side of the rule makers and behaving in a way that disrupts the very order that benefits them?

Batman's behaviour naturally cannot gain the approval of the same rule and order makers, and the general public, in modern civilized society, has been normalized by order or the system, through various packaging, cover-ups, and even embellishment.

They have become accustomed to and fully accepted this orderly way of life, naturally considering Batman a freak, even though this freak has helped them.

However, not all poor people are willing to lie down and wait to die under this order and system. There are still people who understand this, and they believe that although Joker is a crazy terrorist, the words he just said make some sense.

Harvey Dent is also one of those who understand. His other half of the normal face changed its expression after Joker's speech, and he stopped struggling.

At this moment, Joker took out a revolver, put it in Harvey's hand, and held his hand, aiming the gun at his own head.

"Introduce some chaotic ideas, disrupt everything that has already been planned, and everything will become chaos... I am the spokesperson of chaos.

By the way, speaking of 'chaos,' do you know what its essence is?"

Joker answered his own question, "It's fairness and justice!"

At this point, Harvey Dent only needed to gently pull the trigger to blow this insane guy's head off and seek revenge for himself and Rachel.

Commissioner Gordon and many viewers who hated Joker were silently praying, "Kill him, shoot him now!"

Bruce Wayne also became alert.

However, in the video, Harvey Dent didn't rush to pull the trigger. He took out his lucky coin, intending to use the coin to decide Joker's fate.
