Something's Wrong with This Quicksilver

Strange felt that after Wanda constructed the illusion in the video, there was still a hidden power lurking and observing everything.

As the future Sorcerer Supreme, his opinion was, of course, worth noting.

Bruce glanced at him and nodded, saying, "The director of S.W.O.R.D. isn't quite right. He shouldn't be as foolish as he appeared in the video, at least he shouldn't be oblivious to Wanda's situation."

Peter exclaimed, "Are you saying there's a mastermind behind all this?"

Steve Rogers also pondered, "I guess so. It feels like someone is using Wanda."

Outside the video, discussions were rampant. Inside, Wanda and Vision's peaceful life was disrupted. S.W.O.R.D., of course, was not deterred by Wanda's previous warning. Realizing they couldn't break through from Wanda's side, they shifted their target to Vision, trying everything to reveal the truth to him.

Vision had long noticed something was amiss in Westview, but every time he tried to think deeply, his memory would be altered by a strange force. After being reminded, he immediately took action, using his power to awaken one of the residents of Westview, learning that the entire town was a massive illusion!

After discovering the truth, Vision confronted Wanda when he got home, demanding to know what was outside Westview and what memories he had lost.

Wanda, both sad and helpless, couldn't tell him that the reality outside Westview was that he had not only died but was also disassembled, his parts scattered everywhere. She couldn't accept such a cruel reality, so she constructed this illusion to deceive herself and others.

As the couple argued, it seemed they were about to come to blows. If a fight did break out, it would not be ordinary domestic violence. Both possessed extraordinary powers, if they really let loose, they might not harm the entire United States, but Westview would likely be levelled.

At this moment, the video paused on the screen, and a new question popped up:

[Among the following options, whose appearance stopped the argument between Wanda and Vision]

[A:Monica Rambeau

B: Agnes

C: Tyler Hayward

D: Pietro Maximoff a.k.a Quicksilver]

Wanda had mixed feelings about the content revealed in this future video. For now, she couldn't accept that she would walk this path, especially since the appearance of the quiz game had already drastically changed her fate.

Vision hadn't been created, and her brother, Pietro, was still alive. Watching her future self and her robotic husband from a third-person perspective, playing out a bittersweet drama, she felt indescribably odd.

Having gotten the last question wrong, she decided to listen to Peter's opinion and asked, "You've been paying close attention, so which option do you think is correct?"

Peter, with his chin in his hand, pondered and said, "The first three options have all appeared in the video, but I'm not sure about option d. I guess he must be someone very important to you?"

Wanda nodded, "Yes, he's my brother. In the future depicted in the video, he's already dead, but in reality, he's still alive and well."

"Okay, then I think the answer should be d," Peter concluded after some thought.

"Why?" Wanda raised an eyebrow. "You said it yourself, Pietro hasn't appeared before."

"Process of elimination. Options a and c are S.W.O.R.D. members, and they are the ones who provoked the argument between you and Vision in the video. If seeing you two argue was what they wanted, why would they intervene?

Option b is just an ordinary resident, certainly unable to persuade you to stop arguing, leaving only option d. Just because he hasn't appeared before doesn't mean he won't appear in the future. In the illusion, the resurrection of the dead is quite normal, after all."

Peter's analysis was logical.

"You're very smart, Peter, and I mean that for every version of you in every world," Wanda didn't skimp on her praise.

Peter, somewhat shyly, scratched his head, though he was more outgoing and confident than another version of Peter, the Tobey edition: "Really? Everyone says that."

On the other hand, Erik also didn't know about option d's Pietro, as in his timeline, he hadn't had children yet. But with his intellect and the many clues presented in the video, Erik, like Peter, believed option d seemed to be the correct answer.

Logan remained silent, so when the countdown began, Erik did not hesitate to hit the buzzer. Unfortunately, this time the right to answer was won by Peter.

When the countdown ended, the correct answer was revealed, and both teams had chosen correctly.

[Congratulations to Team A for the correct buzz-in, player Wanda Maximoff and Player Peter Parker both earn 4 points.]

[Congratulations to Team B for answering correctly, player Erik Lehnsherr and Player Logan Howlett both earn 1 point]

After the quiz ended, the screen started playing a video again. A knock on the door interrupted Wanda and Vision's argument. Wanda ran to open the door, only to freeze in shock. Standing outside was her brother, Pietro Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver, who had long been sacrificed.

"Is she surprised because this Pietro looks different from the one she knew? But that shouldn't be possible. The entire illusion of Westview was created by her, so logically, this Pietro should also be her creation."

Outside the video, Steve frowned, noticing a blind spot.

Bruce added, "Wanda is somewhat losing control of her powers."

Tony shrugged, "Is there a possibility that this unfamiliar yet familiar Pietro comes from another parallel universe?"

After experiencing the quiz game bringing out different versions of Batman and Spider-Man, they had become accustomed to such phenomena.

Regardless, the appearance of Pietro indeed changed the predicament of Wanda's family, also allowing the couple, Wanda and Vision, to temporarily set aside their argument.

Halloween came in the blink of an eye. Of course, within the illusion created by Wanda, time had already lost its meaning. During Halloween, the family of Wanda and Vision joyfully participated in the town's festive celebration. During this time, Wanda was also curiously inquiring about Pietro's identity.

It seemed Pietro's appearance truly had nothing to do with her. She also couldn't understand why her brother had turned into this stranger before her, and Pietro himself was clueless. He didn't know how he ended up here and even questioned Wanda about how she managed to turn the entire town into her dream world.
