Spider-Man plummeted from thousands of feet in the air, crashing straight into the icy lake below. The intense impact was so strong that even his superhuman physique struggled to endure it.
As the young Spider-Man sank deeper into the water, a sleek mech suit suddenly shot across the sky, diving into the lake without hesitation to pull him out.
This mech was undeniably iconic—it was Iron Man. The moment he appeared, the viewers outside the light screen erupted in astonishment, exclaiming, "Wow!"
Pietro couldn't help but comment, "This kid is seriously lucky. No matter what kind of trouble he gets into, someone's always there to bail him out. Really, just look at the other two Spider-Men, and you'll see how fortunate he is!"
Stephen Strange chimed in, "No wonder everyone jokes that Spider-Man is basically Iron Man's son. Seriously… Peter, you've got to learn to stand on your own two feet."
The young Peter scratched his head awkwardly, mumbling, "I'll get smarter, I swear! I won't trouble Mr. Stark anymore. I promise!"
Tony indeed took care of young Peter, especially since he personally recruited him—and Peter was still a minor. The suit Tony designed for him was incredibly advanced, complete with heating functions, which helped warm up the drenched Peter.
Naturally, the suit also had a tracking system, which was how Tony managed to find and save Peter in the nick of time.
Tony sternly warned him to stay out of the Vulture's business, explaining that someone else would handle it. Curious, Peter asked, "The Avengers?"
Tony chuckled. "No. They're paid far too well to deal with this kind of stuff."
He then advised Peter to focus on small, helpful deeds—like helping old ladies cross the street—and concentrate on his studies. Tony even mentioned helping Peter get into MIT one day.
This advice didn't sit well with Peter, who argued he could do more. After all, hadn't he already helped take on Captain America?
Like most teenagers, Peter craved recognition, but Tony clearly still saw him as a kid. He even pointed out that Steve Rogers had gone easy on him during their clash. "If he were serious," Tony explained, "taking down a rookie like you wouldn't have been difficult."
Peter, of course, refused to accept this. However, from the audience's omniscient perspective, they couldn't help but agree with Tony.
Steve's famous line, "I can do this all day," and his ability to trade blows with Thanos, were proof enough. And judging from Peter's performance in the video, it was evident he still had a lot to learn.
That's precisely why Peter was considered lucky.
Tom's Spider-Man had someone like Tony—a mentor who acted more like a father—watching his back. No matter the challenges or dangers, Peter always had a safety net.
But things were very different for the other two Spider-Men. One wrong move, and they had to pay a heavy, often bloody price. They had no one to rely on but themselves.
Meanwhile, Adrian Toomes, aka the Vulture, had returned to his base. He seemed to be planning something big but was visibly displeased with his crew's actions from earlier that night, threatening to fire one of them.
The henchman, however, wasn't intimidated and even threatened to expose their illegal activities. Without hesitation, Adrian grabbed a high-energy weapon and disintegrated the man on the spot.
At this point, Adrian was no longer the downtrodden, middle-aged man who once endured humiliation to make ends meet. From the moment he stepped onto this criminal path, there was no turning back.
Pietro raised an eyebrow and remarked, "If you think about it carefully, you'd realize some clues. The spot where they made that deal was close to Liz's house. That's a key lead."
Stephen Strange shook his head at that. "It's easy for us to see that because we have the full picture. But if we were actually in the video, it wouldn't be so obvious."
He glanced at Peter and smiled. "But I believe in you, kid. You'll figure it out in the end."
"Thanks…"
Peter's mood sank even further. He was still a kid, and his emotions were written all over his face. Seeing his future self constantly mess up in the video left him feeling dejected.
In a quiet, gloomy voice, he muttered, "I'll try harder. I want to live up to the name Spider-Man!"
Stephen sighed softly, thinking to himself that exposing this child to glimpses of his future might not be a good thing.
The honor and responsibility of being Spider-Man were slowly becoming a heavy burden for Peter. Then again, since being Spider-Man was his inescapable destiny, perhaps adapting to these responsibilities earlier might help him grow faster.
In the video, Peter didn't give up after his latest failure. Though he hadn't caught the smugglers, he managed to recover a piece of their leftover energy equipment and decided to study it further.
The next day, at school, Peter unexpectedly spotted the smugglers acting suspiciously. They must have been tracking the energy device, which led them straight to Peter's location.
Though inexperienced, Peter was quick-witted. He seized the opportunity to plant a tracker on them, allowing him to follow their movements to a hideout in Washington.
Coincidentally, Peter's school was planning a trip to Washington for an academic competition. Peter joined the group, using the opportunity to continue his investigation.
Aware that his suit had a built-in tracker, thanks to Tony's earlier warning, Peter didn't want Iron Man or Happy interfering. So, with Ned's help, he disabled the tracker and hacked into the suit's advanced features.
Clearly, Peter was entering a rebellious phase. He wanted to prove himself and resented being treated like a child. This was only natural—every kid wants to grow up and be taken seriously.
Once everything was ready, Peter finally realized just how powerful the suit Tony had built was. It came equipped with AI assistance and an array of advanced features, showcasing the incredible effort Tony had put into it.
