Extortion

After doing a struggle in the morning with her husband, Vyschella fell asleep due to extreme fatigue. Her body weakened as her strength was drained away by Kleiner.

Drrrtt!

The vibration of Vyschella's cell phone woke the woman from her slumber. She slowly opened her eyes and groped the empty bed next to her.

"Ohh? Has he left?"

Vyschella sat up, and then she looked around the bedroom looking for the whereabouts of the man who had been with her, but there was only the sound of her cellphone vibrating which had woken her up five minutes ago.

Drrrtt!

"Oh my God! My body ...."

The woman whose full name is Vyschella Ciara Demougust grabbed the blanket to cover her body, then she tried to get out of bed carefully. She reached for the cell phone made by the world's number one superpowerーthe United States, which she placed on the small table right beside the bed.

"Oh? Dad?"

Vyschella gasped when she saw her biological father's name printed on the cellphone screen. She also answered the incoming call from her father hesitantly.

"Heーhello, Dad ...."

"Why are you taking so long to answer my calls, Cia?! Do you want to avoid me? Huh?!"

Drake Carrington Demougust's voice deafened Vyschella's eardrums. The woman immediately pulled the phone away from her ear. Not news or just small talk asking about the child's activities, Drake instead immediately cursed her.

"Wーwhat's the matter, Dad? IーI'm with Kley."

"Don't lie to me, Cia!"

The accusations that Drake threw at his youngest daughter, opened the wounds that had not yet dried in Vyschella's heart. The woman stroked her chest as she closed her eyes for a moment, imagining the scary face of her father.

"It's true, I'm not lying. He just left."

Vyschella hoped that her family wouldn't be contacting her anytime soon, as she wanted to sort out her chaotic thoughts and feelings, but now the opposite was happening.

"Okay, meet me in an hour at Jane Ally Italian Restaurant and Bar, just down the street from Birmingham City Hall!"

"Huh? Should we meet today, Dad?"

"Yes, but of course, you can call it off if you don't want Gwyneth to live any longer."

Dugh! Dugh! Dugh!

All members of the Demougust family know that Vyschella's weakness lies in her grandmother. Vyschella's face suddenly turned pale because Drake had offended her.

"Dad, don't touch my Grandma!"

"Then do as I command!"

Vyschella's tears started to come out from their hiding place and streamed down her cheeks. The woman took a deep breath and replied, "Fine."

Click!

Vyschella got off the bed and rushed to clean herself. She had to pack up and arrive at the place that Drake had designated on time.

"Miss Cyra, how long will you be in there?"

Ivan BrahmandーKleiner's trusted driverーstopped the Stonevrustarios luxury car in the lobby of the Italian restaurant where Vyschella was to meet his father. He looked at Vyschella worriedly.

'I Hope that you're well, Miss, because Young Master Kleiner will be furious if anything happens to you!' cried Ivan in his heart.

"It won't be long, you just wait in the car!"

Ivan nodded in agreement, then drove his car to find a strategic parking area to monitor Vyschella from a distance. Yes, according to Kleiner's orders, he had to keep an eye on every the movements of the wife of the master.

"Welcome to Jane Ally Italian Restaurant and Bar!"

Two women who guarded the door greeted Vyschella's arrival in a friendly manner. They smiled and asked some things that were part of their job.

"Are you alone, Miss? I'll find you a seat."

Vyschella smiled while looking for her father's whereabouts.

"Oh, no need. I already have an appointment."

Vyschella's smile disappeared when she saw Drake waving at her. Vyschella left the two women.

"I'm Sorry, Dad. I'm late."

Vyschella came in with a straight face and great anxiety. The reason is, there is never any good news every time she deals with her father.

"Sit down!"

Drake stared at Vyschella for a moment, then returned to eating the dish in front of him.

"What do you want to eat, Cia?"

Vyschella frowned as she couldn't believe the words that just came out of Drake's mouth.

Since when did Daddy care about me?' Vyschella asked in her mind.

"Hmm, let's just say, what's it Papa wants to see me?"

Drake, who was originally busy chewing the food in his mouth, suddenly stopped and leaned back on the chair. He cleaned his mouth with a napkin while glancing at Vyschella sharply.

Dugh! Dugh! Dugh!

'I've to be strong because Grandma really requires me!' cried Vyschella in her heart.

She tried to control herself so as not to look weak in front of her father.

"I want fifty million Pounds now!"

"Wーwhat?!"

Vyschella's eyes widened completely, and her heart began to beat irregularly. She threw herself on the chair because her head suddenly dizzy. She shook her head lightly.

"What is it?"

Drake looked at Vyschella with an intimidating look. He did all this with the consent of VillearisaーVyschella's twin sister.

"Dad! Where did I get that kind of money? You know, don't you, if I'm unemployed?!"

Drake poked his head towards Vyschella, who he never considered as his flesh and blood.

"With your current status, fifty million Pounds Sterling is an easy thing, Cia! However, if ...."

Vyschella was suspicious when Drake stopped his sentence suddenly. She looked at her father questioningly.

"However, if you want me to kill Gwyneth with one shot, it won't be a problem!"

Vyschella's face turned bright red. Her hands clenched into fists as she held a grudge against a man, who did not deserve to be called a father.

"How could Daddy have the heart to kill Grandma? She is Papa's biological mother, right? You two have the same blood flowing within you."

Brack!

Drake pounded the table, causing several pairs of eyes to turn to him. He stood up and rolled his red eyes at the boy.

"Don't you dare lecture me! If you don't give me the money in two days, then bad news will reach your ears soon, Cia!"

Drake left Vyschella alone without feeling guilty. The woman just sat there looking down in shame. Her mind drifted imagining the grandmother, who was lying in a hospital bed.

"Where did I get that kind of money?" Vyschella asked quietly.

Tuck! Tuck! Tuck!

"Excuse me, Miss!"

A waitress came to bring Vyschella the bill. That woman pun forced a smile when she saw the numbers written on the bill.

'Good grief! How do I pay all these bills? Not even this much money in my wallet,' Vyschella thought.

The twenty-one-year-old woman racked her brains and recalled the black card that Kleiner had given her.
