Chapter 89: The Wolf-Spider

Tara’s POV

Victor and I spent some time apart from each other in the days that followed.

He was spending his time with Kia, although begrudgingly on her part, to help some of the senior and more experienced wolves teach the younger ones how to properly fight.

I knew in Victor’s heart he believed they needed true experience to be able to fend off wolves like Sidus and those under him. But still, he tried as best as he could to not feel as though he were sending these wolves into a slaughter.

I spent my time with Tanner and Talia, mending to the farms and the animals and other things that had fallen under their care. I hadn’t heard much of Jack either, he was either spending his time in his office where he was not to be disturbed, or he was off somewhere else planning and plotting, trying to come up with a fool-proof execution that would help us fight against Sidus.
