Chapter 134: Alexandria, The Accomplice

Victor’s POV

Axel and I went to the only woman we could trust with this.

“You what?” she asked, her voice stern and unfeeling.

There was an anger in her eyes I would never have thought she could project towards me, not as her friend, certainly not as her Alpha. But as I continued to stare at her, I knew that it stemmed from a more powerful source than fear of my position.

“Are you insane?” Alexandria was speaking to me now, demanding answers from me, out of love for Tara. That, and only that, was the reason why I was asking this of her.

“You have to be the one to help me,” I told her. “The two of us need to make Tara believe that I’ve moved on from her, and that the bond is broken.”

“Victor—and I say this with as much respect as I am able to muster—you’re out of your f*cking mind. Have you been speaking with Sidus? How do we even know this is going to work? This might be just another one of his tricks!”
