9 Father Brennan warns Robert of Katherine death

Robert had been invited to a friendly collage football game by am associate of his. This duo are not the only spectators who had come to see the game. Friends and colleagues of either teams had come too.

Before the last fifteen minutes quarters commenced, Robert associate had bet on one of the teams that is going to win the last points. Robert took the other. With the action of a torchdown, Robert team won the game with six extra point. He smiled, he didn't had to choose but he knew his team well and how capable they are. All the spectators cheered at the winning team before dispersing out of the field. Many went to celebrate both with the winning and loosing team as there was a bar and restaurant few walks away. Others went home.

Robert and his associate followed too. But then his associate had remembered he wanted to attend to something and excuse himself. Immediately he went away, a hand stretch forth at Robert shoulders. It was Father Brennans. Robert was surprised to see him.

"Tomorrow half past two, Bishop's park." He went on with seriousness, "Five minutes and you will never see me again." Robert quickly remove the priest hand from his shoulder. Now he knows the priest was not only a blackmailer but was insane too. But whatever the thought, Father Brennan still need to tell Robert what he has to know.

"Your wife is in danger. She will die unless you don't come." He walked away, maybe afraid of being seen. But someone had seen and followed him too, though not too far off the field. He took pictures of him too. It was photographer Keith Jennings.

Now Robert felt dead inside. Now this insane priest is warning him of his wife life in danger. He didn't know what to do at that spot. His mind went in chaos as to whether he should go and meet up with the priest or ignore him. He thought through it while he made his way to the restaurant.

The next day right exactly at half past two Robert met father Brennan at Bishop park, a remote place secluded from the society. Though surrounded by trees of vast leaves grown in rows and columns, it has been made a great site for people such lovers alike and children who wants to have picnic and fun. But today was an odd day because no one was around. The park isn't far from the catholic church too.

Standing right in front of the Priest who had been seated, Robert waste no time in asking, "Get on with it. Say what you have to say."

Father Brennan raised his face to answer why he shook both his hands together,

"When the Jews returned to Zion and a comet rips the sky, the holy roman empire rises. Then, you and I must die Mr Thorn." Robert's brows draw into a knot. What was this priest talking about. He was here because he claimed his wife was in danger.

Father Brennan continued, "From the eternal sea he rises. Creating armies on either shore. Turning man against his brother till man exit no more. The book of revelations predicted it all.

"I am not here to listen to your sermon." Robert told the priest while he stays calm. But the priest had gone on either way.

"It is by means of a human personality entirely in his possession that Satan will wage his last formidable effects."

"You said that...."

Robert was interrupted by Father raised voiced. Father Brennan needs Robert to listen to what he has to say without questions. He should realize it by now and do what is right. But what is right requires a life. The life of the devil's son.

"Go to the town of Megiddo. A man named Carl Bugenhagen, he is an Exorcist and he will help you on how you can kill the son of the devil."

Damien, his little lad, the son of the devil. He was beyond angry. His voice became heavy with anger, "Am here because you said my wife is in danger." It was quite quiet with Father Brennan. He was frightened inside. Sacred for his life. Father Brennan stared at the ground.

"Your wife is pregnant Mr Thorn."

Robert face turned cold. "You are mistaken, that's nonsense."

"He will not allow the child to be born." Father Brennan look up. Sweat bead already all over his face, "He will kill it while the baby is still in its mother's womb." But Robert wouldn't accept what the priest was spilling out of his shaken lips. He didn't know of any baby neither is his son a devil or whatever he called him.

"Your son Mr Thorn, the son of the devil. He will kill the unborn child. Then he will kill your wife and when he is certain to inherit all that is yours, Then Mr Thorn, he will kill you.

"That's enough!" Robert ordered father Brennan.

"Through your wealth and power, he will establish his counterfeit kingdom here on earth. Receiving his power directly from Satan." Father Brennan rose to his feet. "He must die Mr Thorn. I beg of you Mr Thorn, I have no wish than to be forgiven of my sin. Even if it must cost me to do what is right then I will do it."
