Chloe led David upstairs through a staircase made of black and white marble. Several tables were neatly arranged, chairs around them. With the dim light, the atmosphere inside the restaurant feels very cozy and romantic. The two of them passed the last row of tables and ended up on the restaurant balcony. Where there is a rectangular table with food and candles neatly arranged on it. Rayana and Farren sat with their backs to the fence.

Farren's eyes narrowed sharply as he saw Chloe's hand wrapped possessively around David's arm as if she wouldn't let go. When Farren gave him a sharp look, David just smiled a little. There was a feeling of restlessness and amusement when he met his best friend's gaze.

"Hey, Rayana... Nice to meet you again. How are you and your baby?" David's eyes moved to Rayana's stomach which was covered by the table. The girl smiled kindly.

"Okay, David. Thank you." Reflexively, Rayana touched her stomach. Rub it gently.

David pulled up a chair so Chloe could sit on it. Then he joined in by sitting right in front of Farren. The man never took his eyes off David.

"Are you going to keep glaring at David? he's not a fugitive to watch out for…" Chloe snapped and made Farren stare at her.

"Farren..." Rayana said slowly. Touching her husband's hand to calm her down. And it worked.

Dinner took place in a cold and tense atmosphere. Beneath Farren's calmness lay a horror that made Chloe nervous to death. Afraid that Farren would spiral out of control and lunge at David like a hungry tiger. Chloe even had to allow herself to glance at Farren every minute to make sure her sister was still in her seat.

There was no fear or nervousness on David's face. The man actually enjoyed his dinner leisurely without the slightest burden.

"Okay..." David opened his voice. Put the fork and knife he was holding on the table. His blue eyes stared at Farren, serious. "I will say—"

"You'd better shut up, David. I'm warning you." Farren interrupted. Threatening David in an assertive tone. David was silent in a thousand languages. "Who planned all this?" Sue Farren.

"Farren, calm down. Chloe and I planned all of this. David did not take part in this event. So, please, don't make Chloe sad." Ryan spoke slowly. Even though she knew, Chloe and David could still hear him. But, she needed to tell Farren, so the man could calm down.

"Rayana, don't interfere. And you, Chloe... Don't even try to play with my patience." Farren's eyes narrowed at Chloe.

"I'm not like that! If only Big Brother wasn't selfish by forbidding my relationship with David. I will not act like this!" Chloe half shouted. Oh, yes, she is not afraid of her brother. She had raised her voice too many times in front of Farren under any circumstances. And Farren will always be kind and gentle to make her beloved brother calm.

"Chloe, if you expect a big brother to be as lenient with you, as usual, you will be disappointed." Farren swallowed hard. "This isn't a trivial matter that I can take for granted… You're my sister, and I have the right to decide which men can approach you and who shouldn't. And, David falls into the 'no' category." Farren said.

Chloe chuckled, "Oh, I shouldn't have let Rayana marry my brother. I should have rejected my brother's relationship with Rayana." Chloe abandoned her manners in favor of her fight with Farren. "You and David are the same, don't forget that." She shouted then,

"Chloe, watch your talk." Farren hissed.

"I-"

"Enough, Chloe..." David interrupted. His hand touched Chloe's arm. "Don't be so rude to your brother. Farren, I'm sorry. It was my fault…" David cast a glance at Farren.

"You promised me not to go near her, David."

"Yes, I know. I already did... But, I couldn't stay still when I saw Chloe coming to me. For God's sake, I can't stay away from her, Farren." David felt a strong hit in his heart. "I love her..." She whispered hoarsely.

"It's just a temporary feeling. You don't really like my sister, David. No, I won't let you ruin my sister's life just for your own pleasure."

David smiled sadly, "You know how I am more than anyone else, Farren. You know I love her so much. Come on, don't deny yourself…"

"Fuck you, David."

The corners of Chloe's lips formed a small smile. The girl stood happily, approaching her brother. Hug him from the side. "I love you, brother." She kissed Farren's cheek affectionately. The man snorted in annoyance.

"I'll keep an eye on you two." Farren threatened.

Chloe's smile grew wider. "Brother is indeed the best!" Chloe exclaimed, excited. Her lips formed the word 'thank you to Rayana sincerely.

"Thank you, friend." David said, "I'm not going to waste it."

"You better keep that in mind, David, or I won't let you go."

In the middle of the night, David drove Chloe back to the apartment. With the dating status that they both wear. Chloe didn't hesitate to be protective of David.

David kissed Chleo's forehead, gently. "Go to sleep," said David.

"Don't you want to come in for a minute?" Chloe's hand tugged at David's. "I still want to be with you for a few minutes," she asked,

David's eyebrows shot up. "Chloe, you're not trying to seduce me, are you?" he asked probing.

Chloe smacked David in the chest lightly. "Don't treat me like a bad girl, David." She took David by the hand to enter her apartment. Chloe closed the door. She stared at David for a moment, looking around the room, then sat on the edge of the bed. A small smile perched on the man's lips.

"Are you smiling?" Chloe's eyes narrowed.

"I still remember very well when you never let me in here. And now, you're asking me willingly…" David explained. He pulled Chloe's hand closer to him. "You're always rude to me all the time without a day of reconciliation... And you always say that you hate me so much."
