Burning Night

In the evening, after Giotto and Dragon met, the two of them walked straight into the Goa Kingdom.

"Hey, Dragon, those guards just now thought you are my follower!"

As soon as they entered, Giotto couldn't help but laugh. Dragon, who was beside him, was speechless. Just as Giotto said, when they came in, Dragon seemed like Giotto's follower as he was wearing a dark green hood. The way they dressed and their aura was slightly different and since Giotto seemed very similar to a noble, Dragon seemed like his follower.

Hearing Giotto's laughter, Dragon's face twitched. In any case, he was the leader of the Revolutionary Army, and he was regarded as someone else's follower?

"Alright, Primo-dono, we should stop joking around. I feel that there is something wrong with the atmosphere here, including the guards when we came in. It certainly feels odd as they seem really dilligent and it is not just because the World Nobles would come soon. I wonder what's happening." Dragon frowned.

Giotto knew why Dragon felt that something was wrong, but he did not want to say it. After all, how could he explain it to Dragon when it sounded like he correcly predicted what would happen?

And even if he said it out loud, so what? The two of them could indeed save the people from the Gray Terminal here, but it was meaningless. Even if they were saved now, how about tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow?

Everything would repeat itself, and no one would save them.

In the manga, Dragon definitely knew about this, but he did not do anything. It was because he knew very well that there was no point in stopping the fire. Of course, he probably did not know that his naughty son also came to Gray Terminal. Otherwise, Dragon would not be so calm.

"What do you think of this country, Primo-dono?" Dragon asked instead of thinking about those things at this time.

"Bright and beautiful cities, surrounded by nobles. It seems that they live are very enjoyable and comfortable life."

Since Dragon asked, Giotto naturally answered. However, he only answered based on what he saw. The Goa Kingdom was indeed bright and beautiful, and those who could live in the city were either nobles or rich people. At least , they were all people who could work and make a living there. There would not be a single beggar in the corners of the streets because those people or things that damaged the image of the city had been driven out of the city!

"Indeed, the country is bright and beautiful on the surface, like a paradise. Unfortunately, there is more to it than just the surface. Others didn't know how ugly this country truly is!"

Dragon had no intention of sugarcoating his words just because this was the kingdom near his hometown. In fact, he even hated this place. After all, he knew how despicable the nobles in this country were!

As the two of them wandered around the city, the sky was getting darker and darker, but in addition to the dark sky, a glimmer of fire could be seen from the direction of the Gray Terminal!

Giotto and Dragon looked up in that direction, but they did not make any unnecessary movements. It was just that not long after, they heard the voice of a child and the shouts of the guards, which not so surprisingly came from the Gray Terminal's direction.

"Let's take a look!" Giotto said softly.

The child who was being yelled at should be Sabo!

Dragon nodded and walked in that direction with Giotto. In the alley, a child with short golden hair fell to the ground, and his hat was also beside him.

Obviously, he was not in a good state.

"Are you okay, little guy?" Giotto did not know whether Dragon already planned to recruit Sabo into Revolutionary Army now, but he beat Dragon to it and approached Sabo before Dragon.

Sabo struggled to even look up to see Giotto and Dragon standing in front of him. "Huh?"

Sabo hung onto Giotto to get up. The one he should hung onto was Dragon, but that was only because Dragon was the only one there. Now there were two people in front of him, and between the kind Giotto and the fierce Dragon, everyone knew what to choose, right?

"The one behind this fire is... the royal families and nobles! "

Sabo sobbed. "This city is much more disgusting than the Gray Terminal. It's hard to breath here. I have no freedom to speak either! As a noble, I feel so ashamed!"

As he spoke, he grabbed Giotto's arm tightly. Giotto could feel the disgust and pain Sabo felt.

It was as if he saw a reflection of Demon Spade in Sabo.

"You've made even the child say such words, Goa Kingdom!"

Dragon was shocked. He thought that even though Goa Kingdom was corrupted, there was still hope. But now, it was so painful to live in even for a child. What a terrible country!

"Ah, I can understand how you feel. I have a friend who was born into a noble family like you, but just like you, he hates his status as a noble and those despicable nobles. If he knows what happened to you , he may take a liking to you."

Giotto nodded and told Sabo about Demon Spade.

The first half of his sentence was true. Demon Spade was indeed born as a noble, and he really hated those despicable nobles. But the latter half of the sentence...

How could Demon possibly get along with Sabo? At least not now!
