But in the end she had to defend the honor of the guild when her sister was not around, so with difficult steps she meekly got off her seat and trudged toward the guilds common room.
The shaky Krystal walked out into the back of the reception counter table to face the damnable trespassers. Even without eyeballs her magical psychic abilities found a way to rely back the information of her surroundings.
The wooden doors had been crashed to smithereens, a gaping hole had now adorned the front of the guild hall. Krystal became visibly upset after processing the destruction.
Three individuals stood menacingly inside the guild hall's common room, disdain and malice plastered across their animalistic facial features, the one who stood out from the rest was the guerrilla headed giant almost three meters tall with lustrous sleek azure fur almost engulfing a layer of milky white hair that covered it's broad bulky chest.
Adjacent to the ape were fish-like humanoids wearing thick, puffy astronaut suits that garnered a large globe filled to the brim with transparent liquid, which Krystal read in their minds had an importance in helping them breathe.
"Well, well, well! Who do we have here? Ho! Ho!" Said the large ape creature, folding all four of it's dark obsidian arms that released sporadic steam from the valves protruding from it's back.
'A cyborg!' Internally exclaimed the hooded Krystal. To Krystal seeing a cyborg was bad news for anyone in Eldeon as they were considered the pinnacle of strength when discussing the fusion of technology and elemental mana.
Instinctively she pulled her robe closer to her body to cover herself even further, fearing what the intruders would do to her if they saw her full figure, "Who are you? And what do you want?" She asked vigilantly.
"HO! Don't be so tense young missy, my name Is Pollux, and me and my minions are only here to get what belongs to us from your friend Starlight and we will be on our way out of her once we are done." Said Pollux with a wide foolish grin.
'What belong to them?' Thinking about that a flash of information flooded Krystal's brain from one of the minions, to the true meaning of these intruders.
Pollux though his foolish appearance was sent by his boss at the merchant guild to come and take a presumed map that Starlight had been on a mission to get and with their influence and far reaching information channels, they received word that she had succeeded in eluding their hired help into blockading Starlight and getting the map for themselves.
After thinking they had thought they had lost the map forever after their hired help had informed them of Starlight's escape combined by the extended missing presence of the young explorer, information of her ship landing into Paradisium was received and they were sent to come here and wait for her and get the map by any means necessary before it was delivered to the intended customer said to be a resident of the second halo ring a class above their first halo ring.
At first anger had flooded Krystal that they had tried to hurt her sister but, then relief followed knowing that her sister was now back and would be here at any moment, but what bugged her was these goons infront of her hat she could feel they would really do any thing to et what they want, and she was proven right when she heard the next words from a Pollux.
"Seeing that you are here while she is away from this dump of a guild, I'm guessing that you are someone close to her? Ho! Ho!" Said Pollux, who then signaled his minions to be vigilante of the robed Krystal, as he had a feeling she knew what they were already planning. He had not seen a Zaiphus before therefore had no idea that his plans where being read like a book by Krystal.
"Ho! Ho! Well, this will definitely make it easier for us to get what we want without having to resort to cruel measures as we all know Paradisum prohibits killing but not a little bit of torture hehehe," Said Pollux, licking his lips.
Immediately after he said that the minions pounced towards the black cloaked krystal, smashing the wooden table counter. Krystal dodged to safety after reading their minds and managed to get away from them, to hide behind a diner table.
Woosh! An intense blast of highly pressurized water exploded a gaping hole on the table she hid behind, to which she hurriedly ducked down and rolled away.
Barley avoiding a water fist from the other fish minion that had shattered the table, and all this while Pollux stood away gazing at her constant retreat smiling.
'Cowardly Bastard!' Inwardly thought Krystal reading the cowardly tactics of Pollux, who used his minions to scout her abilities before he went to fight, and to also to tire her out, it was a method that he loved using.
Although in the first stages of the fight Krystal had been dodging and retreating from being pincered by the enemy, she had no psychic abilities that could help her attack as she was always a shut in and barely went to the training facility.
Although her mind reading helped her keep track of the attacks, her body that was still not physically capable to keep up with the minion fishes blasts of water elements and fists bombardment till she slowed down and in that moment sensed the intent of Pollux who appeared to disappear an appeared behind her thwarting her with a mechanical palm to her stomach to then proceeded to hold her by the neck.
Krystal felt the wind get knocked out of her, the dark obsidian arm that wrapped itself around her neck preventing anymore flow of mana causing her psychic abilities to wane and become disoriented due to the lack of air and mana.
"So you can read minds? Or somehow predict the future." Said Pollux, after seeing the young girl dodge all the attacks by his minions.
"Doesn't matter, brute power triumphs all in the end," he said, to which another voice stopped him in his tracks.
"HEY! Is that any proper way to treat a lady!"? The culprit was Jake! The hero had finally arrived.
