Chapter 44 In the heart of the King

The Palace of Havilla seemed like a deserted island to King Desmond as he missed the presence of his daughter, Princess Mira. Though the palace was occupied with many servants and guards, he still felt this void that needed to be filled and this void was nothing else but the presence of his daughter.

Compunction filled the heart of the King as he lay on his enormous bed, staring into nihility. He thought of how bad he was as a father and a King. In fact, the acceptance of being a bad king was nothing compared to the remorse he felt for not being a good father. His daughter, Mira had always made him happy and proud and he always thanked the heavens everyday for giving him a cool headed daughter like her but it was just so unfortunate that he wasn't able to stand up for her or even look after her when she needed him the most.
