'A system? It's been seven years why did it appear now of all times, is maybe because I might be able to start my road to immortality soon?'
Mo Zhen looked at Gu Lingxin, waiting for his reply, but he just saw him spaced out while staring into the air.
"Don't worry, brother Ling, even if you can't get into the sect, I'll help you become an immortal when I get in!" said Mo Zhen with overflowing confidence; he had assumed that Gu Lingxin was nervous about having his talent tested to join the sect and was trying to encourage him.
Snapping out of his daze Gu Lingxin laughed bitterly over the misunderstanding; however, he didn't correct it and just went along with it.
"Then I'll have to thank you then, brother Zhen."
They talked with each other until the sun went down; he finally made his way home; he still wanted to explore what his system was and how it worked after all.
Walking through the streets, he couldn't help but notice the lively mood even at night; it seemed that many people had hopes of trying to stride on the path of cultivation, so how could they not be happy when they were presented with a chance to do so, cultivators were akin to gods to them.
Finally arriving at his home, he quickly called the system in his mind.

[Firstly, yes, it is similar, this system helps you to enhance yourself by taking luck from others by killing them; however, you can't take from those with higher luck than you as their luck would render yours useless unless you slowly wear down their luck]
'Also what do you mean creation?'
[My function would be something like using luck qi to make something out of nothing, the cost would be linked to what you want to make, however, if it's just an enhancement to something that already exists, it'd be less costly]
'A villain, hmm..' it wasn't as if Gu Lingxin was against it; after all, he'd lived in this world for seven years his mindset had changed a bit; although he did still have morals, but from the stories, he had heard about cultivators he knows that slaughter is something that is needed to progress and get resources.
He may not want to accept it, but if he's a villain, then he knows that he will just attract hatred for no reason from the protagonists, so it wasn't as if he'd let them trample all over him for no reason.

[Think of it like this if you tried to make your half-devil bloodline into a full-devil bloodline, then it'd cost you around 500 luck points, however, if you didn't have your half-devil bloodline, it'd cost you around 500,000]
'Thank you, system, so it's kind of like upgrading and creation but using luck instead, I'm guessing that the shop function would be an item at a lowered cost temporarily? I'll have to check it out later.'
'Anyways, system, is there any protagonist near me or something?'

Once again, the systems words shocked him to his core; although he'd lived here for seven years and his mentality had changed, he didn't want to just randomly kill his friend; however, he knew that if he didn't do anything, then he will eventually be killed, he was, however, somewhat shocked at this since it clearly wasn't Mo Zhen who had high luck but Ye Chen instead.
Gathering his thoughts, he began to process how to survive; he figured that it might not be that hard to secretly do it; they're both orphans, so nobody would miss either him or his friend, so it was just a matter of getting his friend alone and getting rid of him, he also only had seven days to do so.
Without him realizing it, his mentality was slowly changing, he knew he had to survive, and his best chance was now, maybe it was the influence of his devil bloodline, but he wasn't hesitating as much.
