Selling Antiques

Early in the morning Dash woke up earlier than usual. Then he washed his face and after that, he changed into better clothes.

"Okay, I'm ready to go to the market!" He said with a smile looking at himself behind the reflection of the water in the bucket he used to wash his face.

This time he was very excited as he was about to head to the market, for his own sake. Deliberately did not tell his grandmother and his older brother that he was going to the market to offer the object he found to antique collectors.

He slowly came out of the barn where the corn harvest was stored, hoping that no one would see him. His eyes peered left and right. Ensure that conditions are safe if he wants to go past the front of his house.

When he was right in front of his house, he peeked through the hole in the wooden window. Making sure that his grandmother and his old brother were still fast asleep.

"Okay conditions are very safe!" He said, grinning with joy.

Dash decided to run fast when he felt safe from the two people who always liked to tease him. Not only does his older brother like to tease him but his grandmother also really likes to tease him too.

His way to the market is not too far, it only takes about ten minutes when he has to run, but if he walks it can take about half an hour.

Maybe if Dash was asked to take part in an athlete's race, he'd be able to win in the first place. Because the training alone has to catch up with the cheetah, he's used to running fast.

After he reached the market, his eyes didn't stop to look at something shiny and something that looked expensive, he thought because he was about to buy everything he saw.

"How much do you want to buy?" asked the clothes seller who saw Dash holding a blue satin shirt, the most expensive clothes in the shop.

"Sir please save this for me, I will buy it later!" Say Dash confidently to the seller.

"So how much money do you have to buy this?" asked the clothing store salesman while looking at Dash with a mocking look.

"I can buy your shop too, later!"

answered Dash once again confidently.

"See you later, I have to get going!" Dash said as he left the elite clothing store.

"You crazy child, dreaming of being a rich man. How is that possible!" Said the shopkeeper while looking sarcastically in the direction where Dash had left his shop.

"Please spare me beef and pork, sir, I'll buy it soon!" Dash said to his regular butcher.

"Hah, I must be in debt again," said the butcher, not believing that Dash was going to buy the meat this time because he and his family always owed money when buying meat at his shop. But George, the butcher, understands Dash and his family, because of economic factors and the abandonment of his two parents makes many people feel sorry for his life.

After looking at many places, Dash finally found the place where he was buying and selling antiques. It was a place that valued any antiques that were offered to him, and where he would always charge the highest prices of the rest. And of course, he would also sell the antiques he bought at a higher price.

Therefore, many people choose to sell or buy antiques in this shop.

"Hello, good morning Mr. Gerald how are you?" Dash asked the middle-aged man wearing round gold glasses who was behind his desk now.

And this is Dash's experience for the first time in his shop.

"Hmm, what do you bring? Or what do you want to buy?" he asked Dash while glancing in the direction where Dash had come. His eyes glanced from behind those round glasses to see a handsome man with a very lacking appearance, a shabby shirt, and shabby pants that made Gerald doubt what he was going to ask or what he was going to give for sale.

"Well, I have an antique that will surely blow your mind when you see it and..."

"Show me right now!" Cut Gerald when he heard a boy in front of him talk too much. Since Gerald is one of those people who is a bit temperamental so it's only natural that his attitude is so cold.

"Okay sir," Dash said as he put his shabby cloth bag on the glass table, and when he saw this, Gerald immediately clenched his fists trying to contain his emotions.

"Please get your dirty bag off my rare table! And just take out the thing, you mean!" Gerald said in a slightly high tone.

Dash's face changed from being excited to limp and lethargic when he found out that the nature of the shop salesman was so hard on him. But Dash still tries to keep his lips closed in front of the person he will offer the antique he finds.

He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, then took out the red antique that was in his bag.

Show it to Gerald.

When Gerald saw the antique he was referring to, he was surprised and took a magnifying glass, so that he could see it more clearly.

And when Gerald finished checking the antiques that Dash brought, he quickly closed all the windows and turned the blackboard 'Open' to 'Close'.

Dash was confused seeing the old man Suddenly acting strange when he showed him an antique.

"How sir, can this be expensive?" asked Dash innocently.

Gerald didn't answer Dash's question, then he walked behind his desk in a hurry, then after that, he immediately brought a rectangular box.

"Get out of here, and take this!" Gerald said as he put the antique that Dash was referring to in the box he just brought. Then gave it back to Dash, after which Gerald also gave him some silver coins for him to take home.

"Never come back here, and don't let it fall into other people's hands! Go quickly, you don't know what you're carrying it could be a disaster, go quickly!!!"

Dash could only be silent and of course confused when the old man asked him to leave with the antiques he found, and instead gave him a box to keep the antiques. Not only that but he was also given some silver coins.

"But, sir!"

Everyone immediately looked at him, the moment he walked out of the antique shop, but instead, there seemed to be an uproar.

When he realized that many people were watching him, he finally decided to leave the store with a very gloomy expression on his face.

Everything that was imagined failed, and cannot be realized at this time.

He, who was annoyed and furious, decided to go to a place to get a drink because he who was annoyed did not know what to do with antiques which he said would bring misfortune.

He sat in a chair that was vacant for many people to see, but he had no interest in looking back at them.

"Give me one beer!" Dash said to the drink keeper who was ready to serve him.

A large glass of beer came to his table, and at that very moment, he began to be the center of attention because with his face it was very obvious that he was very young, and was now in a bar where a child his age should not have been able to enjoy that drinks on this premises.

But he ignored all of them who looked at him questioningly.

"Come on, come on Cedric you can do it, we welcome Cedric Attias the legend of the Griffin rider!!!" One of the crowd shouted, twisting the person's name.

People who have a burly body, and beard and are of course old and are now very drunk.

"Griffin Rider?" Dash said.
