Chapter 1 ( Part 6 )

A reformed drug addict will occasionally be doubted. Aniket sighed and sent his prison record to Anita through XO. XO is a swarm of nanobots that exist inside the timekeeper's body and act as communication links between other timekeepers. They are basically a smart phone inside the body.

After sending the record to Anita, Aniket felt very tired. He had always been watching his back in prison. He hadn't had a good sleep in two decades. Now that he was back with his reliable podmates, he let go of all inhibitions and fell deep asleep.

As for the little pant pisser hanging under the hover car's chassis, he doesn't count as a threat at all.

Anita studied Aniket's prison records. He had cleverly redacted the parts where he was lying in the hospital with injuries. Unfortunately, what Anita read that as, was 'forced drug rehabilitation.'

Nate increased the air conditioning in the car to keep Aniket asleep. He dimmed the lighting and put on some ocean sounds that his son likes.

'What's the matter?' he asked Anita after seeing her agitated.

Anita sent Aniket's records to Nate. She nearly couldn't hold her tears again.

Nate was driving. The car is automated, but they are driving through shadow storms and it was not safe. None of the other people who received the released prisoners started back at all.

Nate couldn't read, so he quickly comforted, 'Don't worry. Those drugs are no longer available on the market. Nikki had just woken up. He wouldn't know what drugs are available today…'

This statement was full of fallacies, but Anita still accepted it. She controlled herself and told Nate what was in the files.

'Clearly, he used his timekeeper influence and redacted the files. Why show them to me at all? I am so disappointed!'

'I see…the hospital files were redacted….' As a man, Nate joined two and two. He was very clear what happened. Somebody doesn't want his maa to know the shenanigans he was up to.

Nate wasn't happy either that his cub was injured. What is the point of giving him so much training in folded space? His reflexes and strength had a high degree of potential. He could easily surpass normal people with regular effort.

How could he get injured so many times? No wonder his mother drew the wrong conclusions. What a nasty brat.

Nate would've left it like that under normal circumstances. But Anita had cried a lot all day. He was worried for her health.

'Then let's find out the truth.'

Suddenly, Nate stopped the car. A hovercar has no wheels. Its chassis is extremely low. A vigilant and nimble thief easily rolled out as it came to rest.

Raeva had a big grin and wonderful taste of freedom. He spread his arms like a hero and howled to the world. Something about the sexiness of gravel and hover car soot.

It was just that, he didn't know whose hovercar he rolled under? No matter who, Raeva was not worried. He was very rich. He can pay them for their ride and their silence.

Raeva turned around and saw a neat and good looking couple. The man was very sexy. He had a very bright and glittering aura about him. His auburn hair was done in a wild and very sensual look, like a horse's mane blazed red by the sun while it ran. His masculine charm was like an adornment on the woman who stood next to him.

She was a dusky beauty with sculpted features. Her beauty was hidden by her skin colour, but Raeva was an art 'enthusiast'. He knew that hers was an onion that is more fragrant as it is peeled.

Who was it that was released today? Man or woman? Either way, it is a great loss for the World Prison.

While Raeva was still daydreaming, Nate pointed to the window of the car and asked straightforwardly, "You know my son?"

Raeva snapped out of it. He realised there was another person in the car. Must be the real released prisoner.

Raeva was curious and casually stepped close to the window. He saw a man curled up and sleeping heavily in the backseat. By first glance, he looked to be in his forties. How did he become that charming cutie's son?

At that point, the hovercar jerked because of the shadow storm. The man's face moved. Raeva saw it clearly.

He fell to the ground with a thud.

"I told you, do it gently…" Anita murmured to Nate.

"This is not gentle?"

The two of them saw the poor guy piss himself and fall down in terror. Aniket asked them to lure him to escape with them. He would make a good time servant.

Theirs was a poor pod without a single time servant. Anita wanted to take care of the man. But this poor person has no bladder control. This is why she let him hang to the hovercar and did not let him in.

Anita rubbed her nose sadly. Aniket brought them a very low quality time servant.

Meanwhile, Raeva was catatonic on the ground, forced to contemplate life and death. Perhaps if he forgets his love for life, he can get through the following ordeal. He may lose an ear or eye, a life or a limb. So what?

Everything is impermanent. The world is nothing but an illusion. Only Judgment Day is real.

Allah is the true and holy one.

Life is like water. One day it must flow or evaporate. Nothing is forever.

After sufficient preparation and deep meditation, the thief took a deep breath and opened his eyes. He was prepared to see the burning eyes of Lucifer in hell, but he only saw the eyes of two concerned parents.

"Did my son do drugs in prison?!"

Doing drugs? He did fat liver tomato fry, intestine onion ringlets, toe nail desert icing.

"No, he did not do drugs."

"Are you sure?"

Sure as hell can be sure.

"Yes, ma'am." He was intoxicated on wailing and screaming of prisoners. Such high level drugs, where can the prison sell?

Anita put her hand on her heart and sighed. It was as if a weight had been lifted off.

However, she felt bad for Nikki not having any fun. "Did he at least have a couple of drinks now and then?"
