A class adventurer

Next day in the morning…

The sun was already up and it was past 11 am on the clock. But it didn't matter to him because the flow of the time wasn't affecting him. Both of them were sleeping peacefully in their room on separate beds.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Room service. Please wake up customers. It's already the third time I've called you since this morning."

"Who is it?"

Kairos woke up at last by the door-knocking sound.

"It's the room service, sir. I have to clean the room and serve your breakfast."

"Oh, my bad. I was sleeping peacefully."

Man, just carelessly I was sleeping? Did she come here three times? And what is she doing?

He looked at him and saw she was sleeping like a wild boar on a bed with zero manners.

Hah! What am I going to do with her?

"Oi Irosa, wake up. It's morning."

My life really feels like something is missing. Do I miss being followed by monsters right now? I guess humans are slaves to their habits. I miss being threatened by those boss monsters inside the dungeon now. How funny!

Kairos took his sword and went outside with Irosa after finishing their warm breakfast. It was the first time in their second life that they were served breakfast without hunting for it. It was the prize for their hard work.

The town wasn't that busy, but it was a little crowded because some adventurers came back from raiding a dungeon inside the deep forest. They were all adventurers from the capital city sent by the king. Their leader was no one but the second prince Simon Von Alexander of this kingdom.

Kairos was surprised to see a prince for the first time in his life that close. So he went inside the adventurers guild to report what happened inside the dungeon.

"Wow, this place is jammed with armoured warriors."

"They are so smelly. What's so good about them? They are a bunch of ants to me." Irosa was looking for food all over the place rather than looking at those people who came out of a dungeon.

"Excuse me, sir. Can I register as an adventurer now?"

Kairos went straight to an old receptionist to list him down as an adventurer.

"Hm? It's rare to see a man like you in this part of the town. Are you from the capital city?"

"Ah, yes. Kind of."

"You need to pay two gold for registering as an adventurer. Then you need to take a physical test to check if you are suitable for this profession or not."

"Yes, that will be great then. Oh! My friend here will register too. Mind if you give me another paper?"

"How lucky. You got a nice girlfriend there. You should both get married. The Younger generation should enjoy their life."

"Old man, we are already in a pact together. So I think marriage is not important here. We are already married."

"Oi idiot, do you know what marriage is?"

"Isn't it when you eat and sleep together and watch each other's back? Is there something else?"

"Of course, there are, idiot. It's a vow before you make babies-_-."

"Ohhh! I see…"

"Ugh! Sir, here are the papers. When is the exam?"

"Hahaha! Young lady over there is really clueless. You are really a good man. Protect her all the time. A real man protects a woman from all the dangers. Because they are meant to be protected."

"Hey, old man!! Do you think I'm weak to protect Kairos?"

"Hahahahah!!! Okay Irosa, let's stop here. He's not mocking you. He's telling me to protect you from all danger. Because it's what a man should do. You are precious to me. I can't let anyone harm you. Idiot."

"Huh."

"If you want, you can attain your exam today."

The physical exam training ground was big, but it was empty. The wooden swords were in a bad shape, the grounds weren't suitable for fighting and there was nothing else. It was empty.

Suddenly, a man came inside with three wooden swords and threw them on the ground.

"Ahem!! I am David, and I will be checking your skills for your level and class. Are you ready? If you are, then pick up your swords or a stick to use as a wand to attack me."

Wand? Magic exists in this world?

When Irosa picked up her sword, Kairos warned her not to use more than one percent of her power or skills. But who knew that the one percent is enough to cut the wooden sword in half?

It was the same case for Kairos. So, both of them ended up being an A-class adventurers in one go. The trainer was so shocked that he ran towards the hall to inform his guild master.

But it was already late. Because both of them left as soon as they received their adventurer licence.

"At last, I have an identity made by the guild. Now nobody will be suspicious of me and my work."

"Owner. Why did you take this useless card from that man?"

"You will need it. Every adventurer has one of them. It's their proof of identity."

"I see."

Hah! I need a vacation…

I requested some information from the guild but I heard nothing about the heroes. When I asked them, they acted as if I asked them something that didn't even exist. But why did the system order me to kill them when they don't even exist? Is this a bug?

Do I need to search the whole world just to find out the heroes who're hiding? Is that even possible?

On their way to the other city, Kairos looked behind and saw the adventurers walking the same path as them.

Why are they going for the same duration?

"Kairos, are they following us?"

"No, they are heading to the same city as us."

"Look, a man is waving his hand to us."

"That's unusual."

A man on a horse came closer to Kairos. He was covering his face but the way he talked was really friendly.

"Hello, adventurers. Are you heading to the city as well?"

"Yes, we are. Do you need something from us, sir?"

"Oh, no. I saw you two walking alone. So our second prince thought that it will be great to travel together on this empty road where monsters might attack anytime."

"I see. It will be an honour to travel with the brave prince."

It's a good idea to travel with him anyway. Since he's the prince, he might have clues about the heroes. Or there is a high chance that he is the hero that my system wants me to kill.
