CHAPTER 52: GIVE ME A SECOND CHANCE

"I'm happy that you found a whole new family. I was worried sick after you left, I didn't know whether you were alive or dead." Casey spoke and let out a sigh of relief she didn't know that she was holding.

"I never thought that the next time I see you would be in preparation of a war." Ariana replied.

"You and Bradley huh?" Ariana asked remembering how Casey had been close to Bradley.

"The week after you left, on my birthday I found out that he was my mate. I was ready to reject him, you know with the way they treated us back then. I also thought that if he could treat you like that, how would he treat his own mate." Casey said playing with her fingers.

"He really regrets the way he treated you back then, he had been hoping that when you come back, he could apologize to you." Casey said avoiding Ariana's gaze.

"I'm not speaking up for him because he is my mate, but because I saw how he really regrets it." Casey said softly.
