Two Weeks Gone (Part 2)

Matthew remembered Ava coming into his office…and then the video. After that, everything he had done was a blur. But he clearly remembers coming to Olivia and confronting her. He remembered the painful words he said to her. He remembered every insult he threw at her. He remembered her cries and plea to let her explain. He remembered not letting her explain or even talk. He remembered seeing the pain in her eyes that he ignored. He didn't just remember it…he could feel it. He could feel her pain and it felt like his heart was being squeezed by a cold chain. It was painful and he could only imagine how it felt for Olivia.

Now that his head is finally clear, he regrets it. He regretted acting on impulse. He regretted letting anger cloud his judgment. He regretted not listening to her. He regretted all the painful words and insults he threw at her.

But it was not only what he did that he remembered. He also remembered a man coming out of nowhere and beating him out of his senses.
