When The Maid Was Left Alone (Part 1)

Daxon ignored his cousin's second question. Instead, he said, "I just found out that there was a deal that if the Hawthornes break the marriage deal they are going to pay the Clives the amount that they were supposed to get from that marriage deal,"

"What kind of deal is that?" Mason exclaimed.

"The kind of deal that only the Clives would benefit from," Daxon shrugged his shoulders then he walked toward the sofa. He had seen the contract deal between the Clives and the Hawthornes in their law firm's database and thought about its oddity.

According to the deal, after the marriage, the Hawthornes will be the ones to provide the newlywed with a house. But not just a house. There was a particular property that was mentioned and when Daxon checked it, he realized that it was an estate that was as huge as the Hawthorne's estate.

The estate also comes with land in a province that is rich in mineral deposits.
