Her Borrowed Freedom

"Where are we going?" Amina asked as Daxon's car drove out of the basement parking of the apartment building. She was still hesitant about leaving the apartment but Daxon seemed like he really wanted to take her somewhere and she didn't want to disappoint him. She could only hope that no one would spot her.

Thankfully, they did not see anyone on their way down to the basement and Daxon's car was heavily tinted so no one would see them inside.

"Don't worry. I will not take you to the mall," Daxon answered while squeezing her hand. It was as if he knew that she was anxious, he never let go of her hand ever since they stepped out of his apartment until now that he was driving.

Amina turned her head to look at him and forced a smile. Daxon smiled back at her and then he looked back on the road.
