Mason Turned Green

Alex's eyes went wide in disbelief. She pulled herself away from Andre but he kept his hands on her shoulder.

Andre tilted his head. "Don't deny it," Then he let her shoulders go and gestured for her to the sofa. "Take a seat,"

Alex followed Andre who sat on the long sofa. Instead of sitting beside him, she sat on the single armchair near him. Andre didn't seem to notice the distance she put between them.

Andre's face turned solemn. He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize that I was making you all worried. I was thinking only of what I was feeling. That was so selfish of me,"

Alex shook her head. "No. It's my fault. I must have led you on and for that. I am sorry. I enjoyed our friendship and internally, I was also enjoying your attention. I am so fond of you. That's the truth. So I was really hoping that it would develop into something more...romantic without thinking that I might hurt you in the end,"
