Doctor Ava sighed as soon as the two men exited the clinic. She turned her eyes back to the vampire lying on the bed.


"How are you feeling?" she asked, tapping Neal's forehead and checking his temperature. "Don't mind those two. Hellion was already here when you two arrived. He was busy downstairs earlier," she explained.


Neal blinked, still trying to feel the atmosphere. "When did I get here?" he mumbled loud enough for the woman to hear.


The Doctor paused. "You are brought here by Mr Knox's private plane. He was a little surprised so he called me when you got the fever." her eyes squinted. "And it's not a fever. It's an after effect."


Neal furrowed his brows. "What do you mean, Doctor?" he asked in a soft tone of voice.
