CHAPTER Thirty-Five

  Aria

For the past few hours, I had finished checking the borders with the help of Hunter's Gamma, I checked on the injured warriors, visited the locked buildings to see if there has been any interruption of any intruder, and paid a visit to the training center too.

It turned out that Hunter had assigned his trusted fellows for the other duties before he left so that I wouldn't have to fall under any pressure of extra toils.

Mom was right; Hunter was trying to be a better man for me.

I had seen his efforts myself but maybe some of his deeds from the past and mistakes from the present made me disregard all of them.

Currently, I was seated on a bench set closer to the garden just to give myself a few moments to enjoy the view of the sky and derive relaxation.

"Hey, Aria," I heard a familiar voice and my head snapped to stare at the pathway.

I saw Drake walking closer to me with a smile on his face.

  "Oh..hi, Drake," I smiled.
