CHAPTER Sixty-One

  "Sorry, beloved," Knight whispered before he pulled the knife out and thrust it into my stomach once again, "Revenge is more important to me than possession, but don't worry..." he once again pulled out the sharp weapon and insert it into the same place with double force, "Once I kill your mate, I'll save you because I have plenty of things I haven't done with you yet."

  He finally withdrew the knife and let go of me; The imbalance left me stumbling a few steps backward.

  My hands moved to press onto the wound. The blood endlessly gushed out it, covering my hand and dripping down to the floor, the pain was unlike anything. Everything in front of my eyes went blank for a second and I found myself falling to the ground.

  But my body did not end up colliding against the floor— Before I could fall to the ground, Hunter caught me in his arms.
