CHAPTER 87

  The private room in which Jessica was kept wasn't that enormous but it was spacious to have so much air, she had been dressed neatly in the hospital gown and placed on the uncomfortable hospital bed while Rodrigo sat beside her asleep.

  Her eyes heavily and slowly lit up before she scrutinised her entire environment.

  "Rodrigo?" She called weakly.

  "Umm," was his simple reply before his eyes lit up.

  "You are awake, you know what? You shouldn't have left a while ago. You shouldn't have gone to Claudia's house, now look what happened to you!" Rodrigo voiced out not pleased.

  "I'm sorry, it's just that I honestly wanted to see my daughter Raya," Jessica had said while trying to get up but her attempt was abortive because of the blinding pain from the left side of her stomach.

  Rodrigo rubbed a weary and tired hand over his face before enunciating his next statement.
