CHAPTER 166

The following day, Chantelle had gone back to the hospital after having run a few tests. She sat down patiently while she waited for the doctor to bring out the result and every piece of information regarding her sickness.

The door gently pulled open as the doctor walked in holding a file In her hands. “Sorry for keeping you here Chantelle, we have carefully studied the result of your tests and I’m afraid that your kidneys have been totally damaged,” the doctor told her.

“Uhmm doctor, what are you trying to tell me?” Chantelle questioned while trying to adjust herself on the seat.

“It means that you have an end-stage renal disease!” the doctor told her.

“We can still perform a kidney transplant on you but then it's just the start of your treatment. You still have to take a certain amount of medicine so that we could prevent your illness from becoming worse. It would help protect your body's internal organs from getting damaged!” the doctor explained.
