GabiOhhhh Jay what's going on with you and detective Halstead?

I put my phone down and look at Dr. Halstead who was talking to a patient, I walk up and place my hand on his shoulder so he knows I am beside him

"So we are looking to discharge you in a week if your body responds well to the antibiotics" Will smiles

"Thank you Dr. Halstead" she smiles looking at us, I smile looking at her, her name was Jenelle Hardings she was in for chronic stomach pain we treated her and discharged her but she later came back

" Her stats are all normal but we need to keep a close eye on her so I want you to check on her every 5 to 10 minutes" he says as we get back to the nurses station

"Ok" I say

"And Jay hasn't stopped texting me since this morning asking me about you" Will says

"Really now" I smirk looking down at the floor

"God I am digging myself deeper and deeper" he laughs looking at the ground shaking his head

"Wait what did you say?" Will shouts after me as I walk to go check on Jenelle

"nada, no te preocupes por eso" I laugh, I knock on her door

"come in" I hear her say

"Hi I'm dr. Dawson I work with Dr. Halstead and I just came to check on your vitals and of course you" I smile seeing they were all normal

"How are you feeling Jenelle?" I ask checking her stomach

"Everythings good" she smiles, I look over her vitals once more and log into the iPad and enter the numbers onto the eFile on her

"I will check on you in 10 minutes Jenelle ok do you need anything?" I ask placing the iPad between my body and elbow she shakes her head no, I smile and walking towards the nursing station placing the iPad back on the charging dock

I walk into the coffee room, I grab a mug and pour a cup, I grab the coffee creamer and splenda

Will walks in taking my cup and drinking it

"Oye ladrón de café" I yell

"Sorry I don't speak spanish" he says laughing

I grab another mug and pour myself some more coffee, I add coffee creamer and sugar

I take a drink quickly I smile feeling the coffee coursing though my veins

" Hey Kennedy" I hear Jay's voice I look up to see Jay walking in, he grabs my cup and starts drinking my coffee

"What's up with you Halsteads stealing my coffee first Will now you god" I say snatching my coffee back he laughs grabbing a cup and pouring himself a cup

I sit at the table and Jay sits across from me

"So a certain doctor told me you were talking about me" I smirk as Will was about to walk in, he turns around

"Right Will" I smirk and Jay turns around glaring at his younger brother

" You said you... wait that's what you were saying in Spanish" he says looking at me, I shrug and laugh smiling

"Yup" I say winking

"Well I got called back tell me if he steps out of line" Jay laughs standing up, I stood up and he kisses my cheek and hugs me

He goes to leave but will speaks up

"What about me?" He says pointing to his cheek, Jay rolls his eyes smacking his brother in the back of his head

"Whatever Will" he says lightly pushing his brother laughing, I stand up grabbing my cup and taking a drink and placing it in the small sink

"So Kennedy Jay Huh?" He says winking I slap him in the back of his head and walk away smirking grabbing an iPad and going to check on some patients

change into my normal street clothes and look at the time and it is I decide to text Jay see if he still wanted to meet up

I tuck my phone in my purse and place my hat on and walk to my car

"A bit dark to be wearing a hat isn't it" I hear a voice behind me say, I turn around to see April

"Ya but I was to lazy to carry it so I put it on" I smile laughing leaning on my door

"Ah I see you going to Molly's tonight? Cause a few of us are meeting there in an hour" April says

"Yeah I was just heading there to meet with Jay Halstead" I say readjusting my shirt since it was riding up

"Jay Huh?" She says nudging me in my ribs lightly

" Oh my God you too first my siblings now you" I laugh pushing her lightly

"Well see you there Kennedy" April says walking away, I get in my car and start the ignition

I pull up to Molly's and grab my purse, I lock my doors and walk in to see my sister and brother talking

I see Jay so I walk over to him

"Hey Jay" I smile setting my purse down and hopping on the bar stool

"Hey Kennedy" he smiles pushing a beer over

"Your brother and sister were drinking this so I thought you did too plus I asked and Gabi said you liked it" he laughs

"Ya ok and ya I do like this beer don't have it all the time but it's something I have every now and then" I say

We talk for a few hours before we both have to leave since we both worked early in the morning

"See you tomorrow same place for coffee?" Jay asks

I nod and hug him kissing his cheek
