Lahuan carefully returned home, locking the unstable front door tightly before entering the empty inner room where he prostrated himself on the ground and spoke with utmost respect.
"Lord Pulson!"
As his voice fell, a figure in a golden-red robe appeared before him, a commanding aura filling the room, making it difficult to breathe.
"No one followed you today or noticed anything amiss," Pulson asked sternly.
"No, although those Wizard minions are thorough in their search, they never harm civilians without cause," Lahuan replied, his voice filled with fear and reverence.
Pulson's tense expression eased slightly as he continued to inquire, "Did you manage to find out any useful information?"
He had arrived in the capital through a secret passage five days ago but had remained in hiding without making any further moves.
