Chapter 24 : ~~~~~

Kavin and Purvi reached her house, but were shocked to see the conditions in front. The house was on fire and people surrounded it. Those nearby neighbours, on whom Purvi/Kavin were keeping eyes on were also there. Kavin stopped one of them and asked him.

: kya hua yha pr

: kavin sir, yha pr bomb blast hua h

: kya?? Mere papa? Mere papa kha h?

: woh sayd abi andr he hai

: KYA??? Papa......

Purvi started running towards her burning house but Kavin held her shoulder and stopped her.

: Purvi ruk jao... wha puri tarah se aag lag chuki h

: main apne papa k pass jana chahti hu...unke alawa mera koi nhi h..... Agar unhe kuch ho gya toh main mar jaungi.... Mar jaungi

Kavin hugged her tight and calmed her down.

: kuch nahi hoga unhe. main andr jata hu or uncle ko dekhta hu, pr tum yha se hilna mt

nhi..nhi ...aap mt jaeye....agr aap ko bhi kuch ho gaya toh

: Purvi mujhe kuch nhi hoga. Tum yahi ruko..... Agent vinod aap purvi ko yha se jane mt dena, main andr jata hu

: Sir, ambulance and fire brigade bss ate he honge

: Main wait nahi kar sakta. I am going. Mujhe koi bda kapda do

Kavin looked at Purvi once again and assured her through eyes that everything will be okay. Kavin took that shawl and went inside, at that moment the fire brigade came and started pouring water. Kavin broke the main door which was half burned and went inside. He found Rakesh was lying down in the middle of the hall and he was badly injured. Kavin noticed that he was shooted and blood was not stopping from his wound.

: uncle uncle.... Uthiye uncle.....

:..........ka...k....ka..kavin....beta...

: uncle main aap ko bahr lekr chalta hu. Please hold on

Kavin lifted Rakesh up and used the shawl to cover his and Rakesh's body. He hurried outside and due to fire brigade's work, both were successfully rescued. Purvi saw kavin with Rakesh and ran to them. Purvi was still crying hard, and kavin could not stand that.

: papa.....papa...aap thik h...

: Vinod, ambulance kha h?

: bss aati he hogi..

: hamare paas time nahi h, inhe goli lgi h

: KYA? Papa papa ...aap ko goli kaise lagi... aap ko kuch nhi hoga...main sb thik kr dungi....

: Purvi, hume inhe hospital le jana hoga. Jaldi car me betho

: PURVI

: huh?? Ha...ha....

Kavin took Rakesh towards his car and laid him in the backseat. Purvi sat with Rakesh and covered his wound to stop blood. Purvi was a crying mess right now, but she was trying to show her papa that everything will be fine. Kavin was looking at them and was feeling very bad. He speeded up his car and soon they reached a nearby hospital.

: Doctor...doctor....jaldi inhe goli lagi h or body bhi kafi jal gayi hai

: nurse, wardboy jaldi inhe ICU me leke chalo.

They took Rakesh into ICU and Purvi sat on the floor from all the shock, and was still crying. Kavin saw her sitting on the floor and could not stand her tears. He went near her, held her shoulder and helped her to sit on the chair nearby.

: Purvi please roo mat, sb thik ho jayega...uncle jaldi thik ho jayenge

: ........

Kavin asked the nurse for water and he asked Purvi to drink it but she was crying and not listening to him at all.

: Purvi please yeh thoda pani pi lo. Please maire........I mean uncle k liye. Agr woh uthenge or tumhe iss halat me dekhenge toh kitna bura lgega na unhe

Purvi looked towards Kavin in the eyes and started drinking water.

: ab thik ho?

: hmm..... Pr papa

: don't worry, woh tumhe chod kr kaise jayenge, huh? Operation finish hone ka wait karte hai, tum thoda relax kro

Kavin sat right next to Purvi and was holding her hands which were shaking a lot. They waited for 3hrs but the operation was still going on. After a few minutes doctor came out.

: doctor mere papa ab kaise h

: woh......

: kya hua doctor?

: I am sorry but woh bahut he serious condition me hai, humne sab kuch try kr liya but unki body me goli or aag se kafi sare internal injuries ho chuki h. Unke pass sirf kuch he minutes bacche h.

: WHAT?

Kavin looked at Purvi who was too shocked to react. Her tears stopped, and face was expressionless.

: kya hum unse mil skte h?

: ji, woh aap dono se kuch kehna chahte h

Kavin held Purvi from shoulders and took her inside the ICU. Rakesh was lying on the bed almost lifeless. Purvi could not stand seeing her father like that and just started crying again. She went and sat on the floor near his bed.

: Papa.......

: ....I..a...am..Sorry...pu..pur...vi..... Main tumhe chod kr ja rha hu

: aap khi nhi ja rhe h. Aap mujhe akela kaise chod sakte h

: ha...ha.......k...kav..kavin....

: ji uncle?

: mujhe ...tumse..... ek.... promise.... chahiye....meri aakhri ichha

: boliye uncle, main aap ko promise deta hu. Aap ki har ichha ko pura krunga

:....tum..bahut..ache ladke...ho.... Meri iccha h.....ki...ki..tum...purvi..se...shadi kr lo

Purvi/Kavin both shocked by Rakesh's words.

: yeh aap kya keh rahe h papa....aisa nhi ho skta

: agr.... ho sake toh...... main apni agli life me.... tumhe apni asli beti k roop main chahta hu..............k..kav...kavin...pr.promi..se karo ki tum purvi .....se shadi....

: I promise uncle. Aap chinta mat kijiye mein purvi ka dhyaan rkhunga

Purvi was shocked to hear his statement and looked at him angrily. Kavin ignored her stares for now.

: uncle aap pr goli kisne chalai thi?

: woh...log....mujhe.....kai salo se marna chahte the...or mere piche lage the.

: toh woh sb hamle joh Purvi pr hue uske piche ka maksad Rakesh uncle ko marna tha?

: papa? Papa?? PAPA?????

Purvi broke down and started hitting her head to the bed. Kavin held her again and put his hand in front such that her head was hit on his hand and not on the bed. Doctors and nurses came in and put cloth over his face and declared him dead. As soon as the doctor said her father was dead, Purvi fainted and Kavin caught her. Kavin asked doctors to keep Rakesh there for tonight and will do Rakesh's last rituals tomorrow as Purvi was fainted right now. Kavin lifted Purvi in his arms and took her to his apartment. He informed ACP/Abhijeet/Daya/Dushyant and everyone about the whole incident and Rakesh being dead. Everyone was shocked to hear this and told him that they all are coming to his apartment to meet purvi.
