[twenty one]

"Well, I don't think it's our place to tell her who Hermione is currently dating." Harry pursed his lips as he read through Molly's short letter "Quite frankly, I'm not sure we ."

"Don't be silly. I'm sure mum already knows about Malfoy." Ginny shook her head as she sat next to Harry on their bed "George has been visiting her almost every weekend. He's bound to say something."

Harry shook his head "If she knew then she wouldn't have asked you about whether or not you think it's possible for Ron and Hermione to get back together."

"I'm just not sure what she'll think of it when she finds out." Ginny sighed and leaned her head against Harry's shoulder

"She's bound to find out somehow. She invite Hermione for Christmas." Harry pointed out "Given the current situation, Malfoy's bound to come with."

"Thank Merlin our situation's not as complicated." Ginny mumbled sleepily "I feel very lucky to have you."

"I love you, Gin." Harry grinned at her happily

She loved seeing him , especially when she knows she's the reason for his happiness. Harry has been through so much, all she wanted to do from the minute they got together was to ensure his happiness for the rest of their lives. Ginny was beyond happy they were going to have their shot at a happy forever, not many people around them are lucky enough to be with the ones they truly love.

She knew that she would stop at nothing until Harry was completely and utterly happy with her and the life they were about to build - and she can't wait.

"I love you more, Harry." She smiled at him tenderly before pecking his lips "We have a potions class to get to."

"Right, that potions class where you're paired with " Harry sulked

Ginny laughed "He's actually very good company, though I reckon it's only because I'm one of Hermione's closest friends."

Harry chuckled as he got up "No, Gin, I actually think they're being genuine." he shrugged and grabbed his wand from the nightstand

"I know. It's still very surreal, though." Ginny shrugged and offered her hand for Harry to take, which he did so all too happily

"I'm just happy the future's looking bright again."

"Speaking of," Ginny smiled "Mum's already excited about wedding plans."

Harry laughed "Gin, you and Molly have to give me the chance to formally ask your father for your hand before you go ahead with the planning." he brought her hand up against his lips with a kiss "It's only right for me to do that first."

Ginny pouted "My father you, Harry. There's no need."

"But I want to." Harry insisted "I promise after I get the chance to speak with your parents in person, we can begin the planning."

"Who said you're part of it?" Ginny teased

"Hey! It's wedding too!" Harry laughed

"I don't need you to propose to me anymore, either." Ginny said thoughtfully "I'm more excited for the planning than anything else. You can save your cheesy words for the wedding day."

Harry frowned

"I'm serious, Harry." Ginny chuckled "You can only do one traditional thing. You can either ask my father for my hand or give me a cheesy proposal."

Harry frowned "That's a very Ginny thing to ask of me."

"Well, accept it. Ginny is your future wife."

"For better or for worse." Harry feigned regret, earning him a slap on the shoulder from his girlfriend

"Nice of you to grace us with your presence, mister Potter." Slughorn said as he and Ginny entered

"We're sorry, professor." Harry's eyes were wide. Their class wasn't supposed to start for another twenty minutes

"I'm only joking, my boy." Slughorn let out a laugh and gestured to their seats "You and miss Weasley should find your seats. I understand not everyone got my note about our class starting earlier than usual."

Draco rolled his eyes - only Harry and Ginny seemed to not have gotten the notice. The rest of their class were on time. "Now, to continue. Professor McGonagall has asked me to inform you of some of the activities that the school will be requiring you to partake in...to make your current ordeal a bit more bearable."

Hermione heard a very frustrated groan from the back of the room, which could only belong to none other than Ronald Weasley "What exactly would this activity be, sir? Some of us don't have partners yet."  Dean asked skeptically

"Well there are two activities, one of which is only going to be done by those who already have a partner." Slughorn answered pointedly "The first activity is to be done by everyone. You must write, on a foot-long parchment, three concrete promises you will be making towards your partner. These need not be romantic, or deep, just promises you intend on fulfilling."

"Gosh, where are we? " Seamus muttered

"The headmistress will be setting up a fire tonight at supper. Upon entering the Great Hall, you should burn your parchments there as an act of commitment and as proof of submission." Slughorn said "The next activity is only to be done by those who have already submitted their partners. Tonight, before supper, you will find in your rooms materials to create one of your favorite desserts. You must bring your creation to supper as proof of your participation to the activity."

"This is crazy. If I wanted dessert, I'd have asked my elf to do it for me." Pansy hissed

"That's honestly not the point, Pans, but sure." Theo snickered

", you're finding joy in this because you don't have to do it." Pansy rolled her eyes

"Don't listen to her, mate. She's just angry because everything she puts on a cooker burns." Blaise laughed, giving Theo a high-five

"Yo that was " Ginny smirked

", Weasley." Blaise smirked back

"This is weird." Hermione whispered, to which Draco only nodded

"Right! So that'll be all for my special announcement. Any questions before we move on to the theory of Felix Felicis?"

-----

Pansy sighed as she sat on their bed facing their baking station, which  had magically appeared as soon as they entered their room that evening "So, what are we making?"

"I don't mind doing this alone if you're not up for it." Blaise shrugged after rolling his sleeves up to his elbows, he was ready to get dirty

"I up for it.... I'm just not used to doing this." Pansy muttered and stood up to stand next to him in front of their table "How are you alright with this?"
