‘I love you.’ Hermione looked up at his eyes. Draco gave her a small smile after he said it. ‘Oh you do?’ Hermione asked. Draco chuckled. ‘Yes, yes I do.’ he said. Hermione smiled and gave him a kiss before resting her head on his chest. It was already 2 AM and they had been having a bit of fun in bed. They were lying in Draco’s room, surrounded by Slytherin green wallpaper. Hermione played with Draco’s fingers, that were resting on his stomach. ‘What’s it with the ring?’ Hermione asked, taking his hand closer so she could have a closer look at the serpent in the middle. ‘It tells me when there is dark magic nearby.’ Draco said. Hermione nodded. ‘What does it do?’ Hermione asked. ‘When there is dark magic?’ ‘The serpent will move.’ Draco said. Hermione nodded again. ‘How’s your mom?’ Hermione asked. Draco raised his eyebrows. ‘Well with your father’s dead and stuff.’ Hermione said. ‘She’s fine.’ Draco said. ‘Are you sure?’ Hermione asked. ‘Why are you asking?’ Draco asked. ‘I was thinking about our time travel.’ Hermione said softly. Draco nodded. ‘Does she know that we….’ Hermione started. ‘Yes she knew, you met her and she really liked you.’ Draco said. ‘She did?’ ‘Yes.’ Draco said with a small smile. ‘What’s not to like about you?’ Draco said kissing the top of her head. Hermione smiled. ‘Why can’t it always be like this?’ Hermione sighed. ‘We could stay in this bed the rest of our life if you want to.’ Draco said smirking. Hermione laughed. ‘Good idea Malfoy, good idea.’ Hermione said. Draco chuckled.
Hermione was seated at her usual spot in the Great Hall and ate her breakfast. ‘Good morning.’ Neville said, sitting down next to her. ‘And?’ Hermione asked. ‘She didn’t know I didn’t hear her, but she was still disappointed that I didn’t ask her if something was wrong, even after days, which is understandable.’ Neville said. ‘You’re still together right?’ Hermione asked. Neville gave her a small smile and then nodded. ‘Good.’ she sighed relieved. ‘Thanks to you, if you wouldn’t have told me, it would’ve ended differently.’ Neville said. ‘I think so too.’ Hermione said. ‘I’m just glad it’s okay between the two of you and there are no complications.’ Hermione said. ‘Me too.’ Neville said. ‘We’re going to see her father on Saturday.’ Neville said. Hermione smiled. ‘Good.’ she said. Neville nodded with a small smile and grabbed a piece of toast from the middle of the table. ‘Good morning.’ Harry said, sitting down next to Ginny as Ron sat down next to Hermione. ‘Good morning.’ the girls said. ‘You know Hermione, I was thinking.’ Harry said. ‘Yes?’ ‘Why don’t you have a sleep over in the Gryffindor Tower?’ Harry said. ‘It’s not like you can’t come into the girls section.’ Harry said. ‘True.’ Hermione said. ‘And if it’s necessary we’ll sleep in the common room.’ Harry said. ‘And you think the other Gryffindors will be okay with that?’ Hermione asked smirking. ‘Yes of course and otherwise they’ll have to deal with me.’ Harry said. Hermione and Ginny laughed. ‘Sure.’ Ginny said kissing his cheek. ‘You do that.’ Hermione said shaking her head with a smile plastered on her face. ‘It’s a good idea though.’ Ron said shrugging. ‘You can have a break from Malfoy and you’ll be with the most amazing person in the world.’ Ron said. ‘Meaning me of course.’ Ginny said. ‘Not even close sis.’ he said. Ginny rolled her eyes while Harry chuckled. ‘I’ll think about it.’ Hermione said. ‘Do that.’ Harry said nodding. Hermione gave him a small smile. They talked a little before they headed off to class. It was a long day with a lot of homework and they were all happy when it was over. Until they came back in the common room and saw what they had to do before they could even think of sleeping. Hermione sighed and placed her books on the table before sitting down and opening the first one. Hermione worked until dinner time and after they were finished eating, they all went back to their own common room and went further with their homework. When Hermione arrived back in the common room Draco was already sitting on the couch. ‘Hey, where have you been all day?’ Hermione asked. ‘Oh nowhere.’ Draco said. Hermione raised her eyebrows. ‘Okay….’ she said, walking towards him and sitting down next to Draco on the couch. She took her writing tool in her hand and went further with writing. ‘Hermione, we need to talk.’ Draco said. Hermione turned her head and looked at him. ‘About what?’ she asked. ‘About us.’ Draco said. ‘Something wrong?’ ‘No, I was just thinking, we haven’t had a real date.’ Draco said. Hermione gave him a small smile. ‘No, we haven’t.’ she said. ‘As far as you can remember obviously.’ Draco said.
‘So I was wondering when will that date take place?’ Draco asked. Hermione laughed. ‘I don’t know, you tell me.’ she said. ‘Well the fact is, we can’t go anywhere because you want to keep us a secret.’ Draco said. Hermione looked over to him and saw disappointment crossing his face. ‘So that means we’re stuck in here.’ Draco said. That’s when Snape appeared in the portrait that was hanging in their common room. ‘A few house elves want to come in.’ Snape said. ‘Send them in.’ Draco said, getting up. ‘What-‘ Hermione started. ‘Wait and see.’ Draco said smiling. Honey walked in, followed by a few other elves. They were carrying a silver plate, but Hermione couldn’t see what was on the plate, because it was covered. ‘What is this?’ Hermione asked. ‘Mister Malfoy wanted Honey’s help.’ Honey said. ‘Hi Honey.’ Hermione said with a small smile. ‘Hello Miss Granger.’ Honey said. ‘How are you?’ ‘Honey’s great, how’s Miss Granger?’ ‘I’m fine, thank you.’ Hermione smiled. The elves placed the plate on the table in front of Hermione after Hermione took her paperwork and books away from it. ‘Thank you Honey.’ Draco said. ‘What is this?’ Hermione asked after the elves had left. ‘Our first official date.’ Draco said sitting down next to her. He uncovered the plate and Hermione saw all kinds of fruit placed on it. ‘Oeh yum.’ she said smiling. ‘Bon apatite.’ Draco said. ‘And how did you come up with this?’ Hermione asked as she took a piece of melon and took a bite. ‘Well, I’ve got a present for you and I wanted to give it in a special way.’ Draco said. Draco got up and kneeled down in front of Hermione. Hermione’s eyes widened and her heartbeat raised. What the hell was he going to do? Draco pulled a little square box out of his pocket and held it up to her. ‘What are you doing?’ Hermione asked frightened for the answer. ‘Do you remember the necklace I had given you with Christmas, the one you wore a while ago?’ Draco asked. ‘The golden one, yes.’ Hermione said silently. Draco opened the little box he was holding and in there was a similar necklace, but just a little different, because in this one Hermione’s name was written on the little heart charm, nearby the little red diamond. ‘It’s beautiful Draco.’ Hermione said. ‘We got a new start, so I thought it was time for a new necklace.’ Draco said. Hermione gave him a small smile and Draco got up, placing the necklace around Hermione’s neck. When the necklace was placed around her neck a little light appeared in the charm. ‘What’s that?’ Hermione asked. She took the charm between her fingers and saw Draco’s name written on the other side of the little heart charm. She looked up to see Draco being relieved. ‘Why are you looking like you’re relieved?’ Hermione asked. ‘Because,’ Draco chuckled. ‘My name would only appear if you truly loved me, the lock can’t be opened now and when you stop loving me, my name will disappear and you can unlock the lock.’ Draco said. ‘Wow.’ Hermione said. ‘You like it?’ Draco asked. ‘I love it.’ Hermione said, kissing him. ‘Thank you.’ she said. ‘You’re welcome.’ he said, leaning in and kissing her again. Hermione smiled and pulled away. ‘Now let’s finish this food and go to bed.’ Hermione said. ‘Good idea.’ Draco said with a small smile. And that night they had quite a lot of fun in bed together…..
Hermione was fully dressed and she looked at herself in the mirror. She was standing in the bathroom, brushing her teeth as Draco took a shower. Her eyes wandered off to the necklace that was around her neck and she blushed thinking back to the night they had just spend together. ‘Oh no, no, no, no.’ Hermione said, all of a sudden remembering something. ‘Something wrong?’ Draco asked, popping his head around the corner of the shower. ‘The necklace.’ Hermione said. ‘What’s with the necklace?’ Draco asked. ‘Nobody can see it! And I can’t pull it off.’ Hermione said. ‘Oh for Merlin’s sake, I’m so sorry Mione, I didn’t think about that.’ Draco said. ‘It’s okay, it’s okay.’ Hermione said. ‘What do I do?’ she asked turning around. ‘Wear a scarf?’ Draco asked. Hermione gave him a small smile and nodded. ‘If you want to borrow mine, it’s in my closet.’ Draco said. ‘Yes, because nobody will know we’re together when I wear a Slytherin scarf.’ Hermione said rolling her eyes. ‘Oh… yes.’ Draco said. ‘I’ll just get my own.’ Hermione said walking out of the bathroom and into her room to get her scarf. After Draco was finally ready to go to breakfast they walked out of their common room and downstairs to the Great Hall. ‘I’ll see you later.’ Draco said, kissing her cheek, before disappearing from her sight as he walked into the Great Hall. Hermione waited for a two minutes before she walked in. She sat down next to Harry and took a sip of her pumpkin juice after she said “Good morning” to everyone. ‘Why are you wearing a scarf?’ Ginny asked. ‘I think I’m having a cold.’ Hermione said. ‘A cold? Are you okay?’ Ginny asked. ‘Yes, it’s just a cold. Nothing to worry about.’ Hermione smiled. Ginny nodded. ‘Last day before it’s weekend.’ Harry sighed. ‘I know, such a busy day today.’ Hermione said. ‘Unfortunately it is.’ he said. Hermione nodded. ‘We’ll survive it.’ Hermione said. ‘I hope so.’ Harry laughed.
Hermione walked through the corridors after her last class potions was done. The past two weeks were extremely busy and Hermione was glad it was finally weekend again. ‘Hello there beautiful.’ Draco said as he passed Hermione in the hallway. ‘Shut it you.’ Hermione said looking anxiously around to see if no one heard him. Then Draco grabbed her wrist and pulled her around the corner he just went. ‘Malfoy! What are you thinking?’ Hermione said. Draco smirked and pulled her in an empty classroom. ‘We’re alone here.’ Draco said pulling her close to him. ‘It’s a bad idea.’ Hermione said. ‘What if someone sees us?’ ‘No one will see us, we’re alone here.’ Draco said coming closer. Draco leaned in and gave Hermione a soft kiss on the lips. ‘I knew it!’ Ginny said. ‘I told you it was a bad idea!’ Hermione groaned slapping Draco’s arm. ‘Ouch.’ Draco said. ‘How dare you two not telling me!’ Ginny said offended. ‘I’ve been helping you for months! And I get this as a thank you?’ Ginny said slapping Draco on the arm. ‘I’m so happy for you!’ Ginny said giving Hermione a hug. ‘She gets a hug and I get a slap? Well that’s fair!’ Draco said. ‘Oh boohoo.’ Ginny said. ‘You think I wouldn’t notice?’ Ginny said. ‘Uhm yes?’ Hermione and Draco said in unison. ‘Come on, it was written all over both of your faces! You were smiling all the times and you,’ Ginny said looking at Hermione, ‘were laughing a lot.’ ‘Plus, that cold of yours was taking a little bit too long, I mean come on two weeks? Really? So what are you hiding with that scarf of yours?’ Ginny asked. Hermione pulled it off and showed Ginny the necklace. ‘Ahw, how cute!’ Ginny said smiling. ‘Now tell me.’ Ginny said sitting down on one of the tables. Hermione raised her eyebrows and looked up at Draco. ‘What do you mean?’ Draco asked. ‘Tell me how this happened.’ Ginny said. ‘Seriously?’ Draco said. Ginny raised her eyebrows. Hermione rolled her eyes and stalked towards Ginny, taking her arm and walking with her out of the classroom. ‘See you in the common room.’ Hermione said not looking back. ‘It was after the masquerade ball, I told you we kissed well after that everything made a little more sense, the weird feelings I was having, they just told me I was in love with him.’ Hermione said as she walked with Ginny through the corridors. ‘I knew it!’ Ginny said proudly. ‘Yes you’re amazing.’ Hermione said rolling her eyes laughing.
