Hermione's POV
A sudden pop caught me off guard and I pointed my wand at whoever had just apparated into my living room. I relaxed though as I realized that it was Ginny, smiling at her.
"You know," I said, setting my wand on the coffee table, "You should probably text me letting me know you're about to just pop into my living room."
"Sorry, sorry," She apologized, waving at me as she sat down next to me on the couch. "I just wanted to surprise you since I just got back from Egypt!"
"I saw you won the quidditch match," I said with a grin. "Congratulations!"
She grinned. "You should've gone, Hermione. You would've loved it! The entire family went out for this game since they wanted to go visit again for another two weeks, and I think Bill missed it; you should've seen how excited he was when he was explaining everything to Fleur."
I laughed as I imagined that. "I wish I could've gone; I've been wanting to visit Egypt for ages. Maybe soon I'll be able to. I did get to go to Scotland though this week."
"That was for work though," Ginny said. "You need a vacation."
"Tell me about it," I muttered.
She raised an eyebrow at me. "Have things been that bad?"
"Did you hear the most recent stunt your older brother pulled before he got sent to Romania two weeks ago?" I asked, raising an eyebrow in return.
"Harry filled me in right after the quidditch match," She said with a grimace. "I thought that was the last of it though?"
"It was, but it was still rather awful," I said. "He accused me of cheating on him with Draco."
"Oh, he left out that little detail." I watched as Ginny's faced turned slightly red with anger, and then she took a deep breath to calm down. "We don't need to talk about it right now though; I figured we could use a girl's night since we haven't seen each other in two weeks."
"That sounds perfect!" I said happily. "We definitely have a lot to catch up on; I'll go make us some tea."
I stood up and went to the kitchen, turning the stove on. I grabbed two mugs from the cabinet before hearing Ginny say, "'Mione, you got a text from Draco."
My heart jumped slightly and I immediately went to the couch only to find Ginny holding my phone hostage and giving me a sly look. "Why is Draco texting you?"
"Well if you would give me my phone, I'd be able to find out!" I laughed, holding out my hand.
"Not until you answer my questions!" She retorted. "Is something going on between you two? You better tell me because right now I'm fairly convinced considering that he's texting you on a Saturday!"
"Merlin, Ginny, you are stubborn!" I groaned.
She grinned in response. "You knew this already, just like how I know you haven't denied anything happening yet. So spill."
Sighing in defeat, I immediately went and prepared our tea. "Alright, alright. Last week on Friday, I came into the office to flowers on my desk and a note. The note was asking me to dinner that night with Draco."
"You went on a date with Draco and you didn't tell me?!" She yelled loudly. I could hear the excitement in her voice though, and I laughed at her.
"I had a busy week!" I replied, shaking my head and walking back into the living room with our mugs. "And you had a game, I didn't want to distract you!"
"Oh whatever!" She said, waving her hand as she took her mug from me. "Where did he take you?"
"Ramsay's," I said with a grin. "It was wonderful, Gin. The food, the view-"
"Yeah I bet the view was amazing," Ginny muttered slyly before hiding behind her mug.
I scowled at her. "Can I have my phone now?"
She sighed and handed it over to me. I opened it quickly and read the text.
I grinned. "He asked me to dinner again."
"Another date!" Ginny exclaimed, bouncing up and down. "You have to go! Girl's night can wait!"
"I'll make it up to you," I said before replying to the text.
After sending the text, Ginny got my attention. "Okay, tell me everything that happened!"
I laughed at her and turned the TV on for some background noise. "So he apparently had been in cahoots with Pansy about it to some extent, because when I got home that evening, my clothes had been delivered and in one of the boxes was this really pretty cocktail dress. And when he picked me up, he said he had picked a good color for me."
Ginny squealed quietly. "That is honestly adorable. Do you think he picked any of the other clothes?"
"I don't know about the other clothes because they all looked like what Pansy had drawn out for me. I'm sure he'll have some hand in the designs though if I decide to let Pansy craft more clothes for me," I said with a wave. "Which I don't think I'd mind because you saw how sharply he was always dressed."
"Very true." Ginny took another drink and then nudged me with her foot. "Well keep going! What happened after you got to the restaurant?"
My phone buzzing interrupted us and Ginny practically lunged for it, but I managed to beat her to the phone.
"Merlin, Gin, you act like you're watching a drama on TV!" I laughed before reading the text from Draco.
I laughed again and handed the phone over to Ginny, who read over the text very quickly. "When did he see you in sweatpants? How much have I missed?!"
"Oh I need to tell you about that too," I said with a groan. "That ties in to the whole 'Ron accusing me of sleeping with Draco' story."
She nodded and gave the phone back to me so I could reply.
I set the phone back down on the table and took a sip of my tea. "Anyways, when we got to the restaurant, we were taken up to the rooftop area and we talked. He asked me about my job and more details about it, and he actually was interested in hearing what I had to say."
She smiled at me. "That's so sweet! I bet it was a nice change from Ron."
Snorting into my tea, I nodded. "It was a fantastic change from Ron. Especially since Draco was actually there for the dinner and not avoiding me. It just felt so nice talking about things other than quidditch and himself. No offense."
"None taken," She said with a wave. "I know Ron goes to extremes with the quidditch talk. You'd think he was the professional quidditch player instead of me."
