Hermione's POV
"Draco, hurry up! Blaise and Pansy will be here any moment!"
It was three weeks later, the week of Ginny's quidditch match, and she couldn't have been more ecstatic that we were all going to her game.
"I'm almost ready," Draco called back from the bathroom. "Just be patient!"
There were two faint pops in the living room and I sighed, grabbing my bag. "They're here; I'm going out to meet them, just come out when you're ready."
I walked out of the bedroom to see both Blaise and Pansy smirking. Pansy gave me a side hug and asked, "He takes forever to get ready? You'd think he would've trimmed down his time in the morning after he stopped slicking his hair back with gel."
""
Draco scowled at Pansy as he entered the living room, his bag in hand and a coat draped over his arm. "I don't take long."
Blaise snorted at this and shook his head. "Whatever you say. When is the portkey supposed to go off?"
I checked my watch and said, "Here in about three minutes. Draco, do you have it?"
"Right here!" He held up a baseball bat proudly.
I raised an eyebrow at him and said, "That's what they gave you?"
"Yeah, it's like an oversized beater's bat," He replied, inspecting the wooden bat. "They said it should blend in and would be easy to hide."
I shook my head and didn't say anything else as Draco stopped next to me, kissing my temple. Blaise grinned at me and then asked, "So, when is the wedding?"
Draco sighed and put a hand on his forehead. "Blaise, not now...."
"What? I've been wanting to ask that since you got the ring!" He said innocently.
I felt my face grow warm and I couldn't hide my smile as I shifted my weight awkwardly. "We, uh...we haven't really talked about it yet."
"I thought the consensus was that we weren't going to make it public until after New Year's," Pansy said, glaring at her husband.
"I don't remember being a part of that conversation," Blaise shrugged.
Pansy rolled her eyes and I laughed slightly, looking at Draco. He smiled at me and looked at his watch. "Looks like we've got one minute."
He held the bat out and I grabbed it close to his hand while Blaise and Pansy grabbed the wider end. Blaise then looked up at Draco and asked, "Where exactly are we going to be landing?"
Draco grinned. "We'll be landing just outside our tents at the quidditch stadium."
"tents?" Pansy asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Of course." Draco laughed slightly. "Did you think the four of us would be sharing a tent? Hermione would be scarred for life!"
Pansy gave him a very offended look but any words were cut off by the portkey suddenly going off. I cringed at the uncomfortable feeling of being hauled away, closing my eyes and waiting for the spinning to stop.
My feet landed firmly on the ground and it took a few moments for me to be able to open my eyes. We had landed in the middle of a large area filled with tents that reminded me of the quidditch tournament that I went to with the Weasleys before fourth year. Chills went down my spine but I was comforted by Draco wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me closely.
"I was able to get our tents right next to each other," He announced, gesturing towards two Slytherin green tents that were admittedly smaller than I expected.
I raised an eyebrow at him and said, "Really? Green?"
He laughed and went to the tent closest to us, holding one of the flaps open. "I think you'll like the inside much better."
I rolled my eyes and ducked under the flap, letting out a small gasp when I straightened up. The inside of the tent was absolutely beautiful; there was a large bed against the back wall that was larger than the one in my apartment, and a dark wooden dresser was situated right next to it. The bedroom was on a platform that had a small set of stairs leading up to it, and it was right off what I assumed was the living room, which held a couple of couches and chairs sitting on top of the largest area rug I had ever seen. There was even a small kitchen off to the left, opposite of the bedroom. I saw a small stove and a fridge, and when I saw the small wine fridge I laughed.
"Do you really go camping with a wine fridge?" I asked, looking back at him.
"You don't?" He grinned, going to the fridge in question.
I shook my head. "The last time I was camping was..."
Trailing off, I looked down at the floor. Of course, it was when Harry and I were horcrux hunting. I could remember the smaller tent with the beds, and the area that Harry and I danced in. I didn't realize I was smiling until Draco waved his hand in front of my face, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Is everything alright?" He asked, giving me a concerned look.
"Yes, sorry," I said, shaking my head and walking slowly through the tent. I took a deep breath and continued, "The last time I was camping was when Harry and I were on the run, searching for horcruxes."
Draco watched me quietly, nodding. "That was certainly a while ago, and I can't imagine it was anything like this..."
I shook my head. "It was nothing like this."
He frowned. "Well, if it's any consolation, I don't actually go camping with a wine fridge."
I laughed quietly and ran my fingers against the dresser. "I was teasing when I asked that."
He smiled and slowly walked over towards me. "I know you were. I'm not so...I suppose is the best way to put it."
"You could have fooled me!" I laughed, wrapping my arms around his neck when he stopped in front of me.
He smiled down at me and then kissed my forehead, pulling me against him and wrapping his arms loosely across my back. We stood there in silence for a few moments, rocking slightly back and forth before he quietly said, "You never told me everything that happened when you were out hunting horcruxes."
I shook my head. "It's a long and somewhat boring story. There was quite a bit of downtime."
"You really think I won't be interested in it?" He pulled away slightly to smile at me. "You helped Harry Potter defeat Voldemort, and you spent half of the time camping out in the Forest of Dean. I want to know every little detail!"
Laughing, I smiled in return and stepped up to give him a quick kiss. "One of these days, I'll tell you everything that happened."
He kissed my forehead and grinned. "Good!"
"Oi! I heard there was a wine fridge in here?!"
I laughed and pulled away again to see Blaise helping himself into our kitchen, with Pansy rolling her eyes in the doorway as she looked at me. "I tried to stop him."
