Yavin_4, Part 3 - Lightning

The only sound in the cave is Rey's breathing. Her hair falls forward onto my shoulders, her eyes closed in concentration. Thunder rumbles through the cave ceiling. I imagine the sky ablaze with lightning outside. We're creating that lightning.

Rey smiles, her eyes still closed. She's so warm, so soft. I sit up and pull her against me. "I love you," I whisper, never wanting the moment to end.

"I know," she says and I laugh softly. She sighs and tilts her head back. I hold onto her tight, not sure if I'm doing this right, but Rey seems to know what she's doing. She's confident and unafraid.

Her body becomes warm, really warm. Her nails dig into my shoulders.

"Ben..." she whispers, her breathing becoming more intense.

Then suddenly she stops, her body trembling all over.

"Are you okay?" I set Rey's hair behind her ears and try to look her in the eyes, but she keeps her head lowered. When she doesn't reply my heart begins to race. Did I hurt her?

"I'm okay," she says softly.

It's dark in the cave now. All the candles have burned out except for one. It makes flickering shadows on the wall behind us.

It could be the middle of the night, or early morning. I can't be sure. Rey woke me with kisses. We didn't talk, we just touched, and kissed.

I hold her against me and feel her warmth, her small hands holding onto me tight, the tears on my skin.

My chest tightens. I'm the one that caused these tears. We shouldn't have been together like this, in an intimate way. It was too soon. And there are Jedi Laws that forbid it. But I couldn't resist anything she wanted to do and in the end we just gave in to our need for each other. She'll end up getting hurt, if I haven't already done irreparable damage.

I close my eyes, unsure of what to say. I should have been the stronger one and told her that we need to wait, need to find out more about the dangers of being so close with us both being Force sensitive, before we went too far. But now it's too late.

Suddenly a different kind of Force sensitivity gets my attention.

"Rey?"

"Yes?"

"I think my mom is on her way."

"What!" Rey sits up, holding the blanket against her.

"She's still far off but she's definitely on her way. I can sense it."

"Right now?" Rey gives me a questioning look.

"We'd better get dressed." I stop, feeling another familiar Force connection. "And I think she's bringing my Uncle Luke with her!"

Rey groans and flops down onto the bed. "Great."
