Chapter 28: Married

"Right now? It's late and none of them would even be open!"

It had to be almost eight in the evening now. She knew that none of the public offices would be open at this time.

"Darling, you really must remember this. Nothing is impossible for me!"

Zhao Yingyue shifted in her seat before answering, "I mean, what's the difference between today and two days from now? Let's do it!"

Within a couple hours, the couple had been in and out of the Civil Affairs office with a certificate in each of their hands.

Zhao Yingyue was officially married to Liu Haoyu. She was officially a Liu.

Liu Haoyu smiled as he pulled Zhao Yingyue into his arms. He loved the feeling of her being held against him.

"Well, Wifey. Why don't we go have some fun tonight?"

Zhao Yingyue smiled and said, "I'm still quite hungry. How about we grab something to eat?"

"Your wish is my command."

As she sat in the car, Zhao Yingyue gazed at her marriage license with a soft smile. This had been the end goal set on that night a week before. She had to admit that she would never have imagined that so much would change so fast.

It was all thanks to the man sitting next to her who she met because of her skill in 'Honor' and negligence to hide her identity better.

Well now that she thought about it, something still didn't make sense.

"Hey Haoyu, since we married early, why are we holding off on the press conference for such a long time? It's still a little over two weeks away."

"Well, it's because I think it's better to have been moved into the dorm already and to meet your team in person. Besides, we're newly weds now and I don't want you to remember these days as anything too stressful."

"Stressful?

"Once the news gets out, there will be a lot of news on you—not all exactly good. I'd like for you to have a clear head for now. You can stress later. Besides, I don't want to have to turn into your Captain just yet."

Zhao Yingyue nodded quietly. She had thought about the day that she would be able to tell the world that she was Luna. But since she was joining Q5, it only made sense that it would be ten times more controversial.

"That makes sense."

She already knew how the netizens in the gaming community were. Regardless of the skill that had previously be acknowledged, they'd crucify her if she messed up.

Unfortunately, that would be her reality as the first girl in the industry—especially having been a socialite most of her life. She would have to prove herself to many.

"We're here."

Zhao Yingyue was knocked out of her thoughts by Liu Haoyu's voice. She had been in such deep thought that time had flown by. They had stopped somewhere but she had no idea where they were.

Liu Haoyu got out and walked around to her side while saying, "Don't stress too much about it. We can worry about that later. Instead, let's enjoy today."

Zhao Yingyue nodded and curiously looked at the two story restaurant in front of her. She had never been there before so she assumed it had to be a hidden gem or something if Liu Haoyu brought her.

"What is this place?"

Liu Haoyu grabbed her hand and walked inside with her with a smile on his face.

"Well, I thought that we just got married and our engagement party was not enjoyable in the right ways. So instead, I rented this place out for a proper celebration."

"Proper celebra..?"

Before she could finish talking, a voice interrupted them.

"Congratulations!"

When Zhao Yingyue turned around, she saw all the members of Q5 standing in front of her. Seeing their casual clothes, she suddenly felt super aware of the fact that she was still in her gown from the party.

Still, she was standing before Q5! The very Q5 that she idolized for so long! This time, it wasn't through a microphone or a screen, it was real.

Li Dongyang excitedly ran up to the couple.

When he saw that their hands were still attached, he whined, "Captain, come on. You invited us here to meet our newest teammate! We gave you your congratulations now let us meet her!"

Liu Haoyu glared at them, but Zhao Yingyue noticed that it was actually more playful than when he's really upset—even if it was still a little cold. She could see that he truly must care for the men in front of her.

"First, we need to get changed. We can't party the way you all want to until we change out of these stuffy clothes."

Li Dongyang shouted, "Wait! Before you guys go, shouldn't you take a picture? It would be a shame not to commemorate this when you guys look so good together in these clothes."

Now that Zhao Yingyue had thought about it, they hadn't taken any pictures together other than the one on the marriage license. They had left the party before anyone could force them to.

Liu Haoyu had recognized this before but hadn't said anything. However, he wanted a picture with his wife on his wedding day that he could carry around with him so he relented.

"Okay, fine! You can take a picture."

He handed his phone to Li Dongyang—who gladly accepted it. He started at one angle and waited for the couple's cue.

When he backed up, he could feel the aura of a power couple and it made him even more excited.

Liu Haoyu wrapped his arm around Zhao Yingyue's waist and pulled her into his embrace then nodded to Li Dongyang.

Li Dongyang snapped the picture but he wasn't satisfied yet.

"Alright guys, now do something a little less serious. It's your wedding day!"

Liu Haoyu slid himself behind Zhao Yingyue and rested both of his hands on her stomach before resting his head on top of her's.

Li Dongyang caught the picture right when Zhao Yingyue had a startled expression from the shock and embarrassment and then another after she recomposed herself.

Zhao Yingyue hadn't expected Liu Haoyu to jump to that position. That embrace was super close but she was embarrassed because of how much she found herself liking it and all the extra eyes on them.

"Awww, that one was so cute! Do another!"

Liu Haoyu decided that it would be fun to tease his new wife some more so he leaned down and lightly pressed his lips to her cheek.

Zhao Yingyue's face went read and she couldn't stop the shock and embarrassment from showing. Li Dongyang wasted no time in snapping that picture. He had been reduced to nothing but a fan to his Captain's relationship. He'd become a captain too, only he'd be the captain of their fan club!

Embarrassed, Zhao Yingyue said, "We should go change now and not hold up the party any longer!"

She didn't want to leave the impression that she would only be on their team because of popularity and her relationship with Liu Haoyu. She knew she had already played with them before so they knew what she could do, but she also wanted them to know that she was there to be serious, too.

It was important that she built the proper reputation from early on. She wanted really badly to fit in with the group on her own.

"Alright. Let's get going then. I have some of the clothes we had brought the other day upstairs for you—first room on the right."

Zhao Yingyue hurried up the steps and out of sight.

Liu Haoyu looked at the team with his gentle smile gone.

"Now, we have fun. We can worry about work in the future."

He wanted to make sure they understood that what happened that night shouldn't be held against anybody—including his wife.

After ensuring they understood, he took his phone back for Li Dongyang and went to change himself.
