Carina's life is affected greatly if not negatively by her facial flaws, as nobody wants much to do with her. Yet, they say don't judge a book by its cover.

   In a world where physical appearances are highly revered she finds herself struggling to keep up with these preferences which gets worse when she decides to take a job in the city, the melting pot of cultures-much to her father's chagrin.

  A few new people in her life, a wicked twist of envy and deceit and that's all it takes for her world to start crumbling all around her.

  Can she weather the storms that threatens to drown her therein and will her faith be rekindled along the line or will she lose it entirely?

True to his word, Dr. Henrique came the week after, however, he was not the only one. Accompanying him was another doctor, a female to be precise whom he introduced as Doctor Noelle. 


I watched as Dr. Henrique signalled Ned and Douglas to hold Ro down whilst he prepared an injection. 


Dr. Noelle was still jotting down the statements concerning the improvements I had given earlier while Madam—who also happened to be here—stood not too far away, watching us warily. 


I had also mentioned the cuts and lacerations he had sustained so they could take that into account too. 


Ro wasn't squirming as much as he used to and that was after I threatened to deny him certain privileges if he didn't behave. I hadn't anticipated the injection though which induced me to wonder how he'd react. 


I could see Madam visibly tense, no doubt, at what would soon occur. 


Dr. Henrique approached cautiously and it was obvious that he'd been in that position before. Even Dr. Noelle receded a bit.
